The holiday homes designed by architect Justus Dahinden and the swimming pool are a testament to this legacy. Today, our tourist offerings include one bungalow, the Casa Roncaccia, and two 4-room holiday apartments. We are now opening three zones, each with 10-12 spots for campers. In the area leading directly to the forest, camping with dogs is also permitted. You are free to set up your camp wherever you like within these areas—there is plenty of space and shade available. Furthermore, the grounds feature many cozy seating areas where you can relax. The Tresa River and lush woodlands surround our campsite.
We operate a snack bar and a POOL BAR on-site. You will find sanitary facilities including toilets and showers, which are shared by both apartment guests and campers. The large 24 x 8 m unmonitored swimming pool is open from June to mid-October (hence the higher summer rate of CHF 59.--). We have also recently added a fitness room (subject to a fee) and a small infrared sauna. A Finnish sauna and a mini-market are currently under construction and are expected to open later in 2026 (winter season).
Our camp is ideally located between Luino (Italy) on Lake Maggiore and Ponte Tresa on Lake Lugano. The Tresa River connects these two lakes and flows right past our site. Use this as your base to discover the beauty of Ticino and Italy.

You can cancel up to 10 days before the latest check-in time on the arrival day. The refund includes the booking amount minus 1.5x the displayed Nomady fee. The cutoff is the latest check-in time of this spot — not midnight. Cancellations apply to the entire booking including extra products. Partial cancellations are not possible. Spacious site with various pitches. Since we came in the off-season, we were almost the only ones there. We were grateful for the self-check-in, as we only arrived at night. The infrastructure is quite ok and clean; when the site is full in high season, the 3 showers and 3 WCs could be a bit tight. The bar was even open at times, although there were few people on the site. The area is great for bike tours or hikes (we did both). We liked it.
We were there at the end of October, the site is beautiful and very well located, since there were almost no people it was very quiet and uncomplicated.
The site is rather expensive for the limited facilities, and I can imagine that when the over 20 pitches are occupied, the infrastructure is a bit sparse.
All in all it was very nice and fun, we don't rule out coming back to visit again.

Mr. Hofer at reception was very friendly and very helpful. We were very grateful for his help. The site is very beautifully located, wonderfully nestled in nature. There are 3 pitches, one of them for dog owners. The access to this pitch for dog owners had a very tight curve; with our 12-meter rig, we probably would have got stuck. Since we traveled in the low season and were the only ones on the site, we were generously allowed to park on another pitch. We really appreciated that.
Overall, our stay was very pleasant. What we found somewhat disturbing: The sanitary facilities were very grubby. From the looks of it, they hadn't been cleaned for a while. Possibly this was due to the low season... Otherwise, the site would have got one more star from us.
All in all, we had a good time and thank Mr. Hofer for his straightforward help with our electricity problem and the problem of driving off the muddy meadow (after days of continuous rain) :-)
We were alone on the large meadow for one night. Total peace in nature. The one toilet was enough for us. But we can imagine that it can become tedious when the site is full. Good opportunity to wash up with hot water.
Since the pool is not in operation outside the season, we would find different prices for high and low season appropriate.
So we found 55.- a bit expensive for what the site has to offer.
