Best time to travel

The best time to visit the Black Forest is from May to October, when the weather is mild and nature is in full bloom. But even in the winter, which is often free of snow, it is a good time to visit.

The Black Forest is known for its hearty cuisine, such as Black Forest ham or Maultaschen, also known as "Herrgottsbscheißerle". Also try the Black Forest cake or the Baden wine.
