My farm is just a few kilometers from the Swiss border. It offers impressive views of the Jura mountains and even the Berner Oberland, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Your camp is far off the beaten track and invites you to contemplate the landscape. From here, you turn your back on the view. But it's enough to get around and admire them.

We have been received by Marie Jo friendly and informed about the pitch and the toilet. In doing so, she has pointed out that she had a scout group and would still take care of the toilet. Since the assigned small place directly adjacent to parked agricultural equipment and about 50m away from the cowshed and the described great distant view was not given, we asked the farmer if we could camp a little further up in a much nicer place. The farmer denied this. Because of the proximity to the stable, there were many flies on the site. When we went to the toilet, we found that the toilet was full to the brim with feces and paper, so unusable. The lavabo is too small to hold water there to take it to the camper. Also the next morning the toilet was not cleaned, full of flies and very unappetizing, so we left the farm after only one night, and not after 3 nights as planned.

Attracted by the snail farm we have headed for this place. The view of the Chasseral is very beautiful, the pitch in the shade of the trees is functional. The sanitary facilities are very basic. The absolute highlight was Marie Jo's explanation of her snail farm including tasting and the possibility to buy her delicacies! The small town of St Hipolitte is located 10 minutes away by car idyllically on the Doubs and is a hiker's paradise. We found porcini mushrooms and wonderful restaurants! We will definitely be back - because of the lovely people, the beautiful views and the variety of things to do.

We were welcomed like friends. The peace and view was wonderful. There are various activities in the vicinity. We were allowed to visit the snail farm and had we been there at the time, we could have tasted. Simple but just camping in the great outdoors. Thanks for the stay. Super good price / quality ratio
