Our tent/pitch site is nestled above our garden on our property, located directly in the heart of Mengersgereuth-Hämmern, within the municipality of Frankenblick. It's picturesquely set amidst wooded mountain ridges, surrounded by nature, far from noisy traffic, yet easily accessible by bus, car, and the South Thuringia Railway. On our property, a former small farmhouse, you'll find a spacious garden with various seating areas and BBQ facilities, all available for your enjoyment, offering lovely views of the surrounding mountain slopes. Within walking distance (approx. 500m), you'll discover several shops for your daily needs, a playground, a pharmacy, multiple doctor's offices, a bank, bus stops, and the train station. In summer, enjoy refreshing hikes or bike tours on the numerous trails around the village, breathing in the healthy forest air for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation. In winter, our location offers ideal conditions for extensive cross-country skiing on 50 km of groomed trails. For alpine enthusiasts, the slopes of the Silbersattel Ski Arena in Steinach are just about 4 km away. In the nearby toy town of Sonneberg, you can visit the Toy Museum, relax at SonneBad, feed sharks at the Sea Aquarium, or admire the world's smallest and largest teddy bears, among other exhibits, at the German Teddy Bear Museum.
