L'oliveraie Taurine et permaculture.

Italy-10040 cumiana
Nestled amidst the forest, at the foot of the Italian Alps, lies a Gallic olive grove cultivated according to permaculture principles. The Gauls of Northern Italy were known as the 'Taurini,' which gave Turin, Italy's former capital, its name. In the Middle Ages, the Kingdom of Cozii lent its name to the Cottian Alps, the mountains situated between Turin and Briançon. Few people know this, but Piedmont was Italy's primary olive oil supplier until the 17th century. Today, in the context of global warming, olive cultivation has resumed after being interrupted by the mini-ice age. Aside from Orange the rooster and his hens, you'll have the olive grove all to yourself, sharing it only with my chickens. It's located just a few hundred meters from the Three Freidour Mountains Natural Park and at the crossroads of several mountain biking trails of increasing difficulty. The reserve is also a fantastic climbing spot, recognized and supervised by the Alpine Club. You'll receive a warm welcome to a project that adheres to permaculture principles. Regarding energy management, electricity is produced by solar panels, the toilets are composting toilets, and water is remineralized and filtered rainwater, safe for consumption. Wastewater is phytofiltered. Everything possible meets low-tech criteria.
