You're watching over a hidden sanctuary, twin trees, walnuts at the foot of Ghiridone, where the mountain breathes deeply and the forest becomes wild. Here, in the Palagnedra forest reserve, in Boladee – the secret heart of Centovalli – time slows down, the earth sings.

During the day, you'll hear the flight of falcons, jays, and swallows; at dusk, the call of deer grazing in the fields; at night, owls, crickets, and fireflies illuminate the darkness like a fairy tale from bygone days, while in the morning, the tapping of the woodpecker resonates. The waterfalls echo not far away, carrying the voice of Rii della Serra into your sleep. Spring is perfect, summer is cool, autumn is a flame of leaves, winter is white.

Not a campsite, but a camp in the heart of nature, secluded and intimate, wild yet safe.
Over 200 kilometers of hiking trails begin here, but your first step is already somewhere else entirely.

The living area includes 2 chairs, 1 table, 1 solar light, and a camping toilet that can be set up outdoors (with sawdust for covering, spare bags, disinfectant spray, and toilet paper); a pop-up tent for toilet and/or shower privacy (a 20-liter bag that can be heated in the sun). There's also a mini-grill that can be placed outside. Both tents feature beautiful windows: 2 small and 1 large with a fixed mosquito net; the entire wall facing the forest can be opened. The sleeping area is equipped with two mattresses, double bed pillows, and a mattress cover (which is changed and washed every few days). It is mandatory to bring your own sleeping bag! (If you don't bring yours, we can rent one or two for 5.- each.)

The padlock serves as a deterrent, but it's always better not to leave valuables in the tent. We're sure it's obvious, but it's always a good idea to take off your shoes before entering the tent, shake them off, and place them near the entrance (inside). In the mountains, insects are plentiful: open openings without mosquito nets are an invitation for them to enter. The toilet can be moved; make sure that after opening it, the trash bag is correctly positioned. Do your business, throw the used paper into the bag, cover it with sawdust, then close the lid. When the bag is full, it will be removed and disposed of like all other waste. Do not feed wild animals. The water containers, shower, and buckets must be completely emptied before leaving the camp. Do not light fires near the forest (only in the designated barbecue area). The tents should be left clean and tidy, as they were found: Thank you!

As it's a little off the beaten path, finding provisions isn't always straightforward. There's a charming tavern down in the village (a pleasant 10-15 minute walk) and a self-service shop nestled in the mountains offering local delights like cheese, salami, and eggs. For a wider selection, another well-stocked self-service store (with essentials like oil, milk, flour, rice, cereals, soft drinks, and more) can be found in Bordei. This location is perfect not just for families, but also for parents with children, as the village boasts a fantastic playground with a fire pit and other wonderful facilities.

There are no fewer than 200 km of hiking trails leading to majestic peaks, charming villages, waterfalls with refreshing swimming holes, an 18th-century church adorned with frescoes by Antonio da Tradate, rare migratory birds, the majestic roar of deer, a beautiful and fish-rich reservoir, and encounters with foxes and roe deer.
