There are people who say this place is cursed. Perhaps it's because of the abandoned Belle Époque and 1970s bathing and hotel complexes, whose silent halls and weathered buildings line one side of the campsite. Those who arrive here stand at the pulse of a unique history that is otherwise known only from old photographs. The roughly six-kilometer mountain drive from Surrein up to Tenigerbad – narrow, winding, with passing bays instead of normal two-way traffic – is already part of the adventure. Once you reach the top, you are rewarded with a place that cannot be explained, only experienced.
