Camping auf der Horse Lake Ranch

We seem to have caught the operator on the wrong foot; the welcome was almost rude and annoyed. The site is beautifully laid out and great for country and Wild West fans. For us, the rustic toilets/showers were too rustic, but that's all a matter of taste.

Beautiful campsite with lots of space, a nice children's playground, and a saloon, all built in Wild West style. Clean and functional sanitary facilities. Hats off to everything you do! Thanks for our time with you!

Where do I start? Probably with the price. One night, two people is advertised at €25. By the time you complete the booking, it's a hefty €40.23. For late September and for this pitch, that's many times too high. But the operator probably can't help that. Regarding electricity, at that price you'd assume electricity is included, but it's not. It's €0.65 per kWh, which I couldn't find anywhere in the description. The shower/toilet was clean but very, very basic, and doesn't justify the price. This was our first booking through this portal and very likely our last. The operator came to our caravan around 7 PM and the first thing he asked was who we were. OK, you can do that. I would have liked it if we had checked in with him, which wasn't explicitly clear in the description either. Otherwise, you can't blame the operator, unless he's responsible for the description and the gross pricing.

We had a great time! Jan is a very kind person and helped us a lot with planning our vacation. A special place on earth, designed and managed with a lot of passion and energy. Thank you! (:

Authentic saloon, where a lot of heart and passion has been invested. Country music and an American BBQ complete the experience. Clean sanitary facilities and a daily bread roll service ensure a good start to the day.

Nice place. Everything available (shower, toilet, water, etc.). Nicely large pitches. Very tasty BBQ every Wednesday. The owner Jan is friendly and uncomplicated. Thank you for the two nice days.

Nice, clean place with everything you need. Unfortunately, the communication was a bit unfriendly. The bread roll service doesn't work well. Otherwise, it met the expectations of a cowboy ranch…
