Der wilde Garten

Germany-16909 Wittstock/Dosse
The WILD GARDEN is a vast, natural, yet lovingly tended estate surrounded by lakes in the Stechlin-Ruppiner Land Nature Park. A birch grove, meadows, and hidden spots for reading or listening invite you to linger, while the medicinal herb garden offers much to learn and discover. Silence and solitude in good company – how is that possible? Here, it is! It feels a bit like stepping out of time. The WILD GARDEN provides sanctuary for many bird species – owls and other nocturnal birds feel particularly at home here. To the south of the garden lies a large forest lake, home to great egrets, cormorants, ducks, wild geese, and cranes. The surrounding forests seem endless and untouched. Walks, herbal hikes, and the moor by the 'Fairytale Meadow' are as exciting as they are idyllic. You can keep to yourself or enjoy the community. Several fire pits and terraces invite you to share meals outdoors, and our 'Cook House' is available for communal cooking. Several wooden cabins offer a sense of security with cozy stoves that are a true delight on chilly evenings. There is sufficient solar power for daily needs, and our ecological toilets are spots with a particularly special view. If you fancy a bit of luxury, the nearby lakeside hotel offers cocktails on the terrace, a panoramic sauna with lake access, and a pleasant restaurant. A bit of everything, no obligations, endless possibilities. Welcome to the WILD GARDEN. Important to know: The Wild Garden is a natural site. We ask all guests to treat the natural environment with mindfulness. Your stay is at your own risk.

First things first: if anything is unclear, please don't hesitate to ask! We're off-grid, so things are a little different here. You're going to love it, but there's a bit to learn – and that's exactly why you're here!
2
We adore the tranquility, but you don't have to be quiet! Sing, laugh, and make as much joyful noise as your heart desires. What we're not so keen on is loud music from speakers. But if your ukulele strums a little off-key, that's pure bliss to our ears!
3
Let's minimize waste together! Be mindful of what you discard. You can either take your rubbish with you – a great way to see how much you've produced – or hand it over to us for proper disposal. It's free for you, and a valuable lesson for all. Sound like a good plan?
