This very peaceful campsite is located right next to our farmhouse, yet remains well-separated from the residents' living area thanks to its own private access. The site borders the high-level barn entrance, which can be used as a dining or lounge area in case of bad weather. Countless birds fill the air around the house, providing a beautiful morning concert. To the west, you can see the Jura Mountains, where the sun often sets in a stunning display of colors. At your disposal are a fire pit with a grill, a picnic table, a compost toilet, as well as running water (hot and cold) and a shower located in the former milk room. If you're looking for some exercise, a 20-minute walk will take you to Borisried, where you can admire a magnificent panorama stretching from the Pre-Alps across the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau to the highest peaks of Central Switzerland.

A fire pit with a tripod grill is available for your enjoyment. Please note that open fires are not permitted during dry conditions or strong winds for safety reasons. We provide a portable composting toilet for your convenience.

Forget the winter blues – at Althaus, we usually only see the fog from above! And there’s no need to worry about cold feet: our on-site wellness highlight, the TENT SAUNA, is the perfect remedy. For a refreshing cool-down between sessions, take a dip in our large fountain.

Welcome to Althaus! We offer a peaceful campsite right next to our farmhouse. Just like during summer rain, the driveway/hayloft is available during the colder months as a dry area for storage or just hanging out.

In the mood for some exercise? A 20-minute stroll takes you to Borisried, where you can admire a stunning panorama stretching from the foothills of the Alps across the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, all the way to the highest peaks of Central Switzerland.

Fancy a farmhouse breakfast? Let us know in advance, and we’ll happily put together a hearty spread featuring homemade 'Züpfe' (braided bread), fresh bread, and local regional products.
