Rebhüsli Hintererli - Street Retreat

The Rebhüsli Hintererli is deliberately simple and rustic. There is no electricity and no running water – but plenty of nature, candlelight, and time to switch off. Fireplace in the Hüsli The fireplace is used for heating and cooking. Wood and firelighters are on the balcony. With the regulator on the chimney pipe, you can control whether the heat escapes upwards or stays in the Hüsli. Important: Use only during your presence and under constant supervision. Fire extinguishers and fire blankets are available. Garden fireplace It is suitable for cooking, grilling, and cozy get-togethers. Use is only permitted when there is no official fire ban. Since it is close to the forest edge, the fire must be supervised at all times. Grill grate, wood, and firelighters are available. Kitchen A gas stove and basic cooking utensils are available. The gas cylinder is under the sink. Please always turn off the gas after use and return used dishes clean. A spare cylinder is in the garage. Breakfast If breakfast is included in your booking, a regional breakfast awaits you. Ground coffee and a moka pot are available; instructions are in the Hüsli. Light Since there is no electricity, candles provide atmospheric light. Spare candles can be found on the left behind the sliding door near the kitchen. Lighters and a flashlight are at the entrance. Water There is no running water. Water for washing hands and dishes is available at the sink. The mountain fountain at the turning area is not drinking water and can be used to flush the toilet. Drinking water is about a 5-minute walk away at Flösserweg towards Hottwil. Toilet The toilet is on the right at the entrance. The key hangs on the wall (red tag). Please use the white water jugs for flushing. Terrace Behind the house, deck chairs await you.

Right from the Rebhüsli, you can set off on wonderful walks and hikes. Whether a short loop through the surrounding vineyards or a longer tour through forests and over the Jura hills – nature begins right at your doorstep. Besseberg Circular Route approx. 2 km | approx. 35 min. A leisurely circular route through fields, forests, and over gentle hills. Ideal for a short stroll in between and to enjoy the tranquility of the Mandach landscape. Flösserweg Stage 1: Laufenburg – Hottwil approx. 3 h | Stage 2: Hottwil – Stilli approx. 3 h The Rebhüsli is located directly on the historic Flösserweg. Over about 20 km, the trail leads through varied landscapes and along the way tells exciting stories about the history of log driving.

And if winter does surprise you with snow, the Rotberg ski lift is only about a five-minute drive away. Even off the slopes, the snow-covered landscape invites you to enjoy beautiful winter hikes and long walks.
