Schwanennest in Alleinlage am See

The accommodation was very beautiful, lovingly furnished, and had everything we needed. We received a warm welcome and were given a detailed tour of everything, so no questions were left unanswered. We were more than satisfied and felt very much at home. Thanks to the fully fenced property in a quiet location, it was also perfect for our stay with our dogs, who enjoyed it just as much. Everything was top-notch. Very beautiful and quiet surroundings, the cabin and equipment were exactly as shown in the pictures, and the hosts are also very nice and friendly. Definitely recommended.

My dog Ola and I stayed at the Schwanennest in February and felt very much at home there. I can only agree with the other reviewers: the Schwanennest is a fantastic place, designed with both love and practicality! I highly recommend it even in winter during frost or rainy weather (I experienced both). Thanks to the stove, it was never too cold, and thanks to the drying rack, wet shoes and socks were always ready for use again the next day. The outdoor kitchen is amazing! A few tips for backpackers and those using public transport: the Schwanennest is very easy to reach (Breidenstein Schlossstraße stop), and from Wallau station, you can easily get to Marburg (for a city trip). You can also take a nice hike to Biedenkopf and take the train to Marburg from there... Groceries etc. can be found in Breidenbach, which is about a 30-minute walk away. Good things to pack: Crocs or similar shoes, a headlamp for reading or handicrafts, and a power bank (charging a phone outside at the charging station in the cold can be tricky). It was wonderful and we must come back when the blackthorn and hawthorn are in bloom!

Meine zwei Hunde und ich haben eine kleine Auszeit im Schwanennest verbracht. Absolut tolle Location. So viel Liebe und Aufmerksamkeit steckt in jedem Detail! Hier kommt man zur Ruhe, genießt die Natur und der eingezäunte Garten ist ein Traum für Hundebesitzer!

The Schwanennest is an absolute gem and we felt very comfortable! The stove allowed us to heat the sleeping area nicely, so a getaway in the colder months is also worthwhile! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating! Thanks for the wonderful time!
