The MONACO company is located in the municipality of Tortoreto, in the small hamlet of Cavatassi at about 200 meters above sea level and was founded in 1970 by Dr. Ruggero Monaco, a veterinarian, who, without any knowledge of agronomic practices concerning the olive tree, but in love with its fruit, had part of the existing olive grove planted. Later, from the 1990s, his son Mauro, together with his wife Simona, took charge of the farm, leading these green hills to the production of a remarkable organic extra virgin olive oil.
