Here, everything related to movement on land and in water is possible! You can start a mountain hike or mountain bike tour directly from the house. Classic cycling tours through the 'Moos' (moorland) are also beautiful. What else? You can practice yoga at the 'Salon de Shakti' in the monastery in Schlehdorf. I, Silke, also teach there, so just talk to me or check the timetable – there's something for everyone! https://salondeshakti.de/stundenplan-kochelsee/ Otherwise, there's a great inline skating route around Lake Eichsee. Lake Eichsee is wonderful for swimming and not as cold as Lake Kochelsee and Lake Walchensee. Other nearby lakes like Lake Staffelsee, Lake Riegsee, the Osterseen, or of course Lake Ammersee and Lake Starnberger See are also worth a visit. But Lake Eichsee is the most beautiful if you're staying with us and want to enjoy a really good swim. Jogging and walking are possible on flat terrain and with a bit of incline. Windsurfing, foiling, and SUP are excellent at Lake Walchensee (20 min. by car), and climbing is great in Kochel (30 min. by bike). The Glentleiten Open-Air Museum is located directly above us on the mountain and can be reached in 3 minutes by car or a 45-minute hike. Museum visits in Kochel am See or Murnau are also a lovely idea.

First things first: WE DO NOT HAVE SANITARY FACILITIES and electricity is only available when we are on-site ourselves. Currently, we can only accommodate self-sufficient campers. This means you must have a TOILET and your own integrated water supply with wastewater. You are welcome to refill your water with us. Our charming little house is surrounded by a large garden that we'd love to share with you. Apart from one neighbor, it's nothing but greenery out here. In the garden, you'll find a fire pit, a plunge pool, a pond, a natural spring, and a yoga platform, which also serves as your private terrace. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains to the east. Your pitch is located in the front part of the garden, next to the house. In just 10 minutes by bike or 30 minutes on foot, you can reach Lake Kochelsee or Lake Eichsee in the Moos area. Directly above us is the Glentleiten Open-Air Museum (an easy hike). Otherwise, we are always happy to provide tips, especially for mountain bike tours and hikes.

Fresh drinking water is available from the tap on the south side of the house. We're happy to sell you firewood for 5 euros per basket (subject to our availability). Please note that Wi-Fi is switched off from 11 PM to 6 AM. Mobile phone reception can be a bit patchy on some days. Organic waste can be disposed of in the composter at the entrance.

In the village, you'll find a well-stocked Edeka supermarket with a bakery, an egg vending machine, two charming guesthouses (Gasthaus Fröhlich and Efendi), and just a short distance up the mountain, the delightful Kreuthalm or the restaurant at Glentleiten. In Schlehdorf, during the summer, there's a wonderfully cozy farm café with a farm shop (https://klostergut-schlehdorf.de/das-klostergut/hofladen-hofcafe/). Kochel also boasts the lovely and delicious Tiny Soul Cafe, offering tasty vegan cakes and food (http://www.tiny-soul.de/), the Schustercafe, the Danner-Hofcafe (https://www.danner-hof.de/hofcafe/), and the French-Bavarian restaurant Kochler Stuben (http://www.kochler-stuben.de/), which we highly recommend.

Sometimes, you'll spot cows (with their charming bells!) or sheep grazing right next to our property. The Glentleiten Open-Air Museum is just above us, a delightful 45-minute walk across meadows and country paths away.

You can enjoy classic downhill skiing in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Ski touring and snowshoeing are available at Herzogstand and, of course, on all other surrounding mountains within a 30 to 40-minute drive. The cross-country ski trail passes right in front of the house—all we need is enough snow! ;)

In winter: PLEASE CONTACT US IN ADVANCE! First of all: WE HAVE NO SANITARY FACILITIES and electricity is only available when we are on-site. Currently, we can only host self-sufficient campers.
