Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a well-deserved break in the beautiful Black Forest, nestled in the serene Kohlenbach Valley. Your campsite awaits high above the valley, right on the ridge. Wake up to the glorious morning sun as it peeks over the mountain, and in the evenings, marvel at the breathtaking views of Freiburg Minster and the Rhine plain. Here, you'll find absolute tranquility in a secluded setting, right in the heart of the stunning South Baden idyll.
Directly from your spot…
Beautiful and super peaceful spot. Very nice hosts. Good location. A great option in this country where bivouac is "streng verboten" ;-)
Instructions were not super clear but that was not an issue for us. For the next guests:
- when you are number 10, you need to drive another 2-3 minutes to find number 11 where it is
- to go the spot you need to walk up 200 meters (Franz told us it was in the description but it's not, at least in the English version). The toilet is where you leave your car (i.e. 200m away from your tent)
Very nice, absolutely quiet campsite. We could ride our motorcycles (enduros) directly up to it. Seating and a beer bench were available 😃 Take enough water from the farm with you when it's hot!! Thanks Franz, it was very nice with you, we'd love to come again.
Great camping spot in nature with a fantastic view of Freiburg. Unfortunately, our arrival wasn't as smooth, though it's probably better normally. The address provided is incorrect, and so is the phone number stored in Nomady. We were guided there by several other people. It took another 1.5 hours until we actually arrived. We met Franz upon departure; he hadn't received any information about our arrival due to the app update. What I do find problematic, however, is the free-roaming German Shepherd. He sniffs everyone who arrives and then leaves. But if you move your hand during this, he might snap. This is especially uncomfortable when you have to go to the toilet past him at night.
