At Mattenhof, on the outskirts of Rotkreuz, a small, charming camp awaits you. By our old 'Schürli' (small barn), you can wonderfully enjoy the peace and quiet and watch as the setting sun bathes our fields, trees, and pastures in a warm glow. Despite the tranquility, you're not 'off the beaten path.' The village, with excellent highway access and SBB train connections, is just a 15-minute walk away. In our Schürli, you'll find fresh water (cold only), electricity, and plenty of play options for children. Your toilet and washbasin for dishes are located in our garage, 350m from the camp. Activity Tips: Hike (or bike tour) to Michaelskreuz Chapel and Restaurant. Hike over Chiemen (LU) to Immensee (SZ) and return by boat and public transport. Visit Kneippgarten Gisikon (on foot or by bike). A stroll from the Schürli to Restaurant Breitfeld, including a mini-golf course. Visit Mall of Switzerland & Oana Surf Wave. Visit 'Pilatus Indoor' climbing hall. Family-friendly: Since SEP 2023, I've been running my own farm playgroup here. In the Schürli, you'll find games, books & co. that our Nomady children are welcome to use. The same applies to the large sand and gravel pit.

Outdoor washing facilities and a separate outdoor WC are available for your convenience.

The camp is very centrally located, yet you'll feel completely undisturbed and private.

The barbecue area of the "Bannwaldzwerge" forest playgroup is open to the public and just a 7-minute walk away.

Beim alten Schürli

Bei uns auf dem Mattenhof, am Rande von Rotkreuz, wartet ein kleines, feines Camp auf dich. Unser altes Schürli liegt einsam auf dem Feld mit Blick auf den Nussbaum. Hier kannst du wunderbar die Ruhe geniessen, auf dem Grill etwas Feines grillieren oder beobachten, wie die Sonne bei ihrem Untergang unsere Felder, Bäume und Weiden in ein warmes Licht hüllt und den Himmel rot färbt. Auch im Winter kann man schöne Spaziergänge vom Camp aus machen oder zum Restaurant Michaelskreuz wandern. Tolle Aussicht von dort oben. 

In unserem Schürli findest du Stromanschluss, eine Festbank Garnitur, einen Gasgrill und einen Sonnenschirm. Im Winter drehen wir den Wasseranschluss beim Schürli zu. Gerne kannst du Wasser bei uns auf dem Hof holen, oder deine Tanks füllen. Ansonsten bleibt das Camp wie im Sommer offen inkl Stromanschluss und Gasgrill. Deine Toilette und Lavabo für den Abwasch findest du auf unserem Hof, 350m entfernt vom Camp. 

Gerne führen wir dich durch unseren Hof und Stall und erzählen dir was es heisst, eine Mutterkuhhaltung zu führen bei der das Tierwohl im Vordergrund steht.

Wanderung (oder Biketour) zur Kapelle und Restaurant Michaelskreuz. Wanderung über Chiemen LU bis nach Immensee SZ und mit Schiff und ÖV zurück. 
Mit ÖV erreichbar: Kletterhalle «Pilatus Indoor», Mall of Switzerland»  mit Indoor Surfanlage
