Camp Zafferano

Italy-17031 SV
Just a few kilometers from the sea, you'll find refreshment in this corner of paradise. Camp Zafferano, nestled in the rural heart of Albenga, offers a refreshing escape after a day at the beach or climbing the nearby cliffs. Located in a very quiet area, it's just 2 km from Albenga's historic center and 3 km from the sea. The camp hosts several groups of campers, but thanks to the expansive grounds, each team enjoys its own privacy within the olive grove. All the necessary facilities for a f…

Camp Zafferano is truly a beautiful place for a short holiday; the sea and the town are within walking distance. There is also a lovely lemon garden 🍋
Unfortunately, this Nomady stay was quite disappointing for us. The location is situated right in the middle of large greenhouses, which gave it a very different atmosphere from what we expected based on the Nomady concept and the “Agriturismo” description. Our welcome by Daniele also felt rather impersonal. Upon arrival, the only interaction was a brief greeting, confirmation of our reservation, and a gesture towards the field where we could park, after which he immediately walked away. This did not make us feel particularly welcome. The sanitary facilities were also below expectations: outdated, limited, and somewhat untidy. In addition, please note that the tourist tax is collected in cash by Daniele when you leave the next day. Overall, for us this felt more like a basic transit campsite than a genuine Nomady experience full of atmosphere and character. Of course, experiences may differ, but unfortunately this location did not match the warmth, charm, and quality we usually associate with Nomady stays.
The location is pretty and the pitches are nice. However, it's clearly more of a campsite than the typical Nomady experience we're used to. Also, the number of toilets is very limited given the number of spots. It's difficult to go for a walk from the site without taking the car, as you have to walk along a road without a sidewalk, which isn't easy with a dog. Chickens and geese roam around the campsite; I personally enjoyed it, but that might not be the case for everyone...
clean, nice site, location suboptimal
A lovely, small campsite. It has everything you need. We received a very warm welcome from Enzo and were given firewood upon request. The only downside for me is the rooster that crows in the middle of the night 🫣.
