Eselweide am Weiher

The spot by the donkey pasture near the swimming pond is an idyllic place that provides pleasant cooling even on hot days. The entire site is very cozy and designed with great attention to detail. The toilet facilities are just a few steps away, practical and clean. We were provided with detailed information by Marina in advance, and on-site, Marlise gave us a warm welcome. Many thanks for the hospitality. We would love to come back.

The donkeys kept coming to visit us and we were able to pet them as much as we liked. The swimming pond was really lovely and cool.

Our stay at Eselweid am Weiher was simply wonderful and exceeded all our expectations. Every morning, we were warmly greeted by the two lovely female donkeys, Sugar and Honey – a truly special start to the day that put a smile on our faces every time. The hospitality was exceptionally warm; we felt welcome and completely at ease from the very first moment. Everything was designed with great care, and you can immediately tell how much heart and soul goes into running this place. After an eventful day, the warm shower in the evening was a real treat. Afterwards, we were able to experience the beautiful sunset in front of our tent and let the evening wind down in total peace. The gentle splashing of the water created a dreamlike atmosphere, allowing us to fall asleep peacefully. Thank you so much for this unforgettable stay – we would love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend Eselweid am Weiher!

The pond is very beautiful and idyllic. We really enjoyed swimming in it. Unfortunately, the donkeys didn't come anywhere near us, so our child never got to see them. Of course, they are animals and don't have to come over at all - but the description of the place makes it look like they are always there and love being petted, so future visitors should perhaps check if they are around without having high expectations :)

It is a wonderful, calm, and relaxing setting. Dogs are very welcome and can move around freely in a lovely fenced-in plot. The owners are very welcoming and ensure that your stay is perfect. The highlight is the natural pond where you can swim, which was very pleasant during the heatwave. The sanitary facilities are top-notch and there is also access to a hot shower. In short, I can only recommend this place and thank Marina, Marlys, and Hans once again.
