A quiet side road, which also provides access, runs alongside the quarry, while a slightly busier road is just 100 meters away. The Kammweg (a high-quality hiking trail) is a mere 10-minute walk. A dry toilet is available on the embankment (key details in booking info), and the stream bank is perfect for washing or bathing. The surrounding areas are dedicated nature reserves, open for exploration, but please tread carefully. Please note that a private toilet and a private circus wagon near the tent pitches are not for guest use. A fire pit is available for your responsible enjoyment. From above the quarry, you'll be treated to a wonderful view of the village of Rübenau (access at your own risk).
