Da Tharandt sehr zentral liegt, habt ihr alle Möglichkeiten. Neben den Wanderzielen, ist unsere Hauptstadt Dresden ebenfalls in ca. 20min Autofahrzeit oder mit dem Zug zu erreichen und lädt zum Shopping und natürlich zum Sightseeing. Auch die Bergstadt Freiberg mit seinem Terra mineralia Museum ist ein Besuch wert und befindet sich ebenfalls ca. 40 min mit dem Auto entfernt.
Und auch im Winter kann sich ein Besuch lohnen, denn in ca. 45min Autofahrt seid ihr in Altenberg. Ist bei uns im Winter aber genügend Schnee vorhanden, so lohnt es sich die Langläufer mitzubringen und die Wege durch den Wald damit zu entdecken. Garantie gibt es dafür aber leider nicht.

Auf einer Wiese neben der Herberge mit direkter Zufahrt bieten wir Platz für unsere CamperInnen. Umgeben von Wald im Tal der Wilden Weißeritz könnt ihr euch entspannen, wandern und den Abend an der Feuerstelle ausklingen lassen. Direkt von der Herberge aus, laden Wanderwege ein die Gegend zu erkunden. 
Ihr möchte internationalen Austausch, dann nehmt Kontakt zu den Bewohnern der Herberge auf, die euch herzlich willkommen heißen werden. Doch auch wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig, denn der abgrenzte Campingbereich ist nur für euch reserviert.

In der Herberge wohnen Familien mit Kindern aus verschiedenen Ländern ,die Duschen werden gemeinsam genutzt ebenso  die Waschräume (Waschmaschinen zum Wäsche waschen dürfen auch genutzt werden .(wenn frei ;-) ) Die Toilette ist separat, für unsere Camper eingerichtet wurden und damit auch nur für euch zugängig . 

Im Zentrum unterhalb der Burg Tharandt findet ihr alles was ihr braucht. Neben Netto, welcher alltägliches bietet, findet ihr die Bäckerei Seidel, einen kleinen Bioladen Frau Müller, sowie ein Eiscafé und einen leckeren Asiaten und den klassischen Döner. Weitere Angebote sind kleinen Stadtkern nicht zu übersehen.

Herberge im Tharandter Wald

Auch im Winter ist es möglich bei uns zu landen, denn der Wald und seine Umgebung bieten wunderschöne schneebedeckte Wandermöglichkeiten .

Zudem findet ihr bei uns eine Feuerstelle, damit ihr es auch an kalten Abend gemütlich habt. Die Duschen und WC sind im Haupthaus und sind dementsprechend wetterfest. Sollte der Platz einmal sehr hoch mit Schnee bedeckt sein, haben wir die Möglichkeit mit einer Schneefräse Platz für euch zu machen.
