Winter is here Immerse yourself in captivating stories by the crackling fire in our lounge, while the snow drifts and the wind howls outside. “I love splitting wood and feeling truly alive in the middle of the white winter landscape, leaving everyday life far behind,” says Cornelius as he enters the kitchen with a basket full of logs. Our spacious and well-equipped kitchen is at your disposal for any culinary creation you and your friends can imagine. “You don’t have to travel far to be far away” If you dream of a peaceful night in nature with your loved ones in a beech forest, then you’ve come to the right place. Here you will find silence and fresh air for your getaway. The log cabin is yours alone—cozy, warm, and furnished in a “Hygge” style. Your cabin is part of an ensemble of log houses located above a small village in the heart of the park. In the morning, enjoy the sunrise over the Harz mountains from our pavilion. In the evening, with a bit of luck, you can marvel at the starry skies of Southern Lower Saxony. Just take the next train; we’ll handle the rest. We charge a security deposit of 50 Euros, which will be refunded at the end of your stay. Heating consumption in the cabin is calculated on-site after your stay.

The grounds are a true paradise for dogs, boasting expansive meadows and wonderful hiking trails leading to the Göttingen City Forest and the Hengstberg.

Waldpark Camp offers children a wealth of hands-on nature experiences right on-site. They can learn how to work with wood, identify different tree species, and discover mushrooms using our guidebooks. For quality time outdoors, a variety of games and board games are also freely available for everyone to enjoy. Cooking with a Dutch oven over open embers, gathering firewood, and mindfully experiencing the rhythm of the day with all the senses make every stay a truly special experience. Guests also have the chance to spot local wildlife and practice mindful observation of the natural world. A highlight for many children is the birdlife surrounding the camp: the Red Kite is the largest bird that can be spotted soaring above.

Here's a possible compilation of destinations for your stay. The climbing wall, developed by the DAV Sektion Göttingen, is just a few minutes' walk away, nestled in the lush green beech forest. Lake Seeburg is ideal for swimming and rowing for those who love to be active. We'd be happy to arrange bicycles for a bike tour. Please let us know in advance in writing. The Harz Mountains are an hour away by car, but you can enjoy mountain views immediately from here. A bike ride to Göttingen through the city forest, free of cars, is well worth exploring. It takes about 30 minutes by bike. For those who love games, there's plenty to do here in the park. The hosts gave us a wonderful welcome and are always available. They have a warm and friendly manner with visitors. You can enjoy the company of others there with communal cooking, campfires, and conversations. But those looking for some romantic quality time also have great options! All in all, a wonderful place to unwind and relax.
