Camp am Obstbaum

My son and I felt very comfortable at Katrin and Siegfried's place. It is an idyllic spot in an absolutely quiet location with nearby, very clean sanitary facilities and a drinking water supply. Firewood was perfect and available in sufficient quantities. The village of Bischofferode is easily accessible on foot. The usability of the on-site shelter is also perfect, providing shade and protection from rain. It's a cozy place to cook. I can unreservedly recommend 'Siegfriederode' (insider tip)—anyone who has been there knows what I mean.

It was really lovely at this site. The hosts were super accommodating 😊😇 We really enjoyed the peace and quiet 😍. The hikes starting from this location were great. We had electricity and a roof over our heads when it rained, as we were allowed to use the barn 😅 They currently have puppies, which made the day even sweeter 😍 The bathroom was also top-notch. The water pressure could have been a bit stronger and it could have warmed up a bit faster 😂 but those are purely luxury problems. We would love to come back 😊

We were welcomed immediately upon arrival and shown around everything. It is a wonderful place to relax and feel at home. We would gladly come back.

The view of the Brocken, the absolute peace and quiet, the Western flair, and the lovely conversations with the hostess made our stay truly special. As for whether the jar of homemade Longhorn blood sausage we bought will taste good, we have yet to find out.
