Idyllisches Plätzchen am Bach

Very beautiful, quiet spot with direct access to the stream. We would love to come back.

Great pitch, especially for hot summer days. Right behind the site, a forest path leads down to the Waidischbach stream. This river is absolutely perfect for exploring via a river hike with natural swimming holes. Superb views of the Karawanks. It's also not far to the Ferlach reservoir, and there are many cycle paths in the immediate vicinity. We were allowed to use a fire bowl, and fires are also common down by the river. Anyone who enjoys wild, authentic camping is in very good hands with Chris & Ralph. In terms of comfort, there is a spotless toilet in the office and a garden shower by the greenhouse. As mentioned in other reviews: keep your "eyes closed" during the drive in, and once you arrive at the pitch, open your "eyes wide" and enjoy the privacy and nature on-site  We will definitely be back!

Lovely place close to the river

I booked this place precisely because of the completely contradictory reviews. Some rave about a paradise, while others talk about a junkyard. Somehow, both are right. It all depends on your mindset when you arrive – and honestly, which way your pickup and camping chair are facing. I had a pitch with a view of the greenery, looking out at the forest with the river just beyond. For me, it was an oasis of calm. Ralph gave me a very warm welcome, took his time, and showed me around the site – including the secret path to the river. My Golden Retriever, Finn, was instantly thrilled. Water, woods, and nature – that's all my dog needs, and frankly, all I need too. If you're looking for a sterile 5-star campsite with perfectly manicured hedges, you might not be happy here. However, if you appreciate an authentic place with plenty of nature, genuine hospitality, and a stunning river right on your doorstep, this is exactly the right spot. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back anytime. Many thanks, Ralph!

I love Carinthia and think the place is really great. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly - I can only say positive things and I am looking forward to being back there again soon.
