You will find a peaceful campsite right next to our farmhouse. The site borders the barn ramp and hayloft, which can be used as a dining or lounge area in case of bad weather. To the west, you can see the Jura Mountains, where the sun often sets in a stunning display of colors. At your disposal are a fire pit with a grill, a picnic table, a compost toilet, as well as running water (hot and cold) and a shower located in the former milk room. Would you like to end the evening with a soak in the hot tub? With advance notice by the previous evening, we can provide a hot tub filled with fresh spring water and firewood. We will get the fire started for you, and then leave the heating to your desired temperature up to you. Cost: 100 Francs. If you fancy some exercise, a 20-minute walk will take you to Borisried, where you can admire the magnificent panorama stretching from the Pre-Alps across the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau to the highest peaks of Central Switzerland.

A fire pit with a tripod grill is available for your enjoyment. Please note that open fires are not permitted during dry conditions or strong winds for safety reasons. We provide a portable composting toilet for your convenience.

Forget the winter blues – at Althaus, we usually only see the fog from above! And there’s no need to worry about cold feet: our on-site wellness highlight, the TENT SAUNA, is the perfect remedy. For a refreshing cool-down between sessions, take a dip in our large fountain.

In the mood for some exercise? A 20-minute stroll takes you to Borisried, where you can admire a stunning panorama stretching from the foothills of the Alps across the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, all the way to the highest peaks of Central Switzerland.

Fancy a farmhouse breakfast? Let us know in advance, and we’ll happily put together a hearty spread featuring homemade 'Züpfe' (braided bread), fresh bread, and local regional products.
