In our Schachen Eden, we offer a beautiful spot nestled amidst diverse plant cultures. There's space for several tents and/or campers. Here, various dwarf fruit trees, berries, perennial vegetables, and colorful flowers thrive. A multitude of birds and insects gather here. The many willows let their leaves dance in the wind, making the place feel wonderfully cozy. Schachen Eden also features a small café where guests can relax for a moment, enjoy homemade ice cream and iced tea, chat, and admire the garden's diversity. Nestled on a Demeter farm, there are also many animals to discover, and on hot summer days, the Ilfis river is just a 2-minute walk away for a refreshing swim.

Access to the property can be a bit challenging. A 4x4 vehicle is usually necessary when it rains, and the entrance can be quite narrow for larger vehicles. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us beforehand!

For your shopping needs, you'll find stores just a 5-minute drive away in Bärau (at the Markthalle) or at the Volg supermarket by the train station in Trubschachen. The Trubschachen station also features a wonderful farm shop offering a variety of local delicacies and the most delicious traditional 'Butterzopf' bread on weekends! Right here in Schachen, there is a charming self-service café serving syrup, iced tea, ice cream, and pastries.

Schachen Eden is nestled in the meadow of the organic Wingey farm. It's fully fenced to protect the growing crops from wildlife and our free-roaming chickens. The charming Ilfis river flows nearby, and just beyond that is the road connecting Trubschachen with Langnau.

From here, you'll discover beautiful biking and hiking routes winding through the rolling hills of the Emmental. It's also just a short distance from Langnau, a charming town boasting a fantastic bar (Käptn Holger). Many will also be familiar with the Kambly production site, where you can sample delicious cookies and where people often travel from far and wide by train to visit. The Ilfis outdoor pool is also just a 5-minute drive away. For a quick cool-down, you can even jump into the river within 2 minutes from Schachen Eden!

Everything was as described. The direct link to the site didn't work, but the address is correct. The site is near the Ilfis river, not in the forest. Monika will correct this. The access road goes through a farmyard that does not belong to Schachen Eden. Not suitable for large vehicles, but perfect for a VW bus.
The Ilfis is very refreshing but difficult to access. It's easier heading towards Trubschachen. The Kambly shop is within a half-hour walking distance.
Beautifully located in the middle of the garden. The Ilfis is just a stone's throw away and was great for swimming. The facilities, including the garden café, were also fantastic.

Idyllic spot in a peaceful landscape, compost toilet is perfectly adequate. Access with a 6-meter campervan is rather tight but manageable with some maneuvering. The main road and farm machinery can still be heard until late, but it's not bothersome (even with small children).
A wonderful place with simple but charming decor. A basic kitchen is available in the self-service café. Communication with Marion was straightforward and extremely friendly. The only drawback is that traffic from the main road can be heard at all times.
