Our farm is nestled amidst a sea of vegetable fields. Hop on your bike here, and you're already on one of the many cycling routes winding through the Bernese Seeland. Enjoy your breakfast with breathtaking views of the Bernese Alps, the Jura mountain range, and the sprawling fields. Right behind you is our former vegetable storage facility, now transformed into a cozy guest room with a private bathroom, refrigerator, firewood, and a fire pit – all for your shared use.
Your camp borders the agricultural zone and is separated from our main house by the yellow warehouse. This ensures plenty of privacy while still offering the luxury of a private bathroom. As we are retired, the warehouse is no longer in active use. On rainy days, you can utilize the entire ground floor and even park your vehicle, up to 8 meters long, indoors. You can wash up in the former preparation room.
From here, it's just a stone's throw to Lake Biel and the Aare River. And the French-speaking part of Switzerland, with its historic villages and lakes, is also easily accessible.
Our farm is located in what is known as the "vegetable garden of Switzerland." The very dark soil is a testament to the former moorland and the fertile earth. A vegetable educational trail will tell you more about it.

The view is great, and they are really nice and easygoing.
We stayed with Walter and Ruth for 3 days at their beautiful site. Walter and Ruth are very friendly hosts and the place is really great; we would love to come back and visit you again.
We have been here several times now and once again had a fantastic stay at this Nomady spot. You are all alone there, and the existing infrastructure (room with bathroom/shower --> there is even a bed, fridge, electricity, etc.) leaves nothing to be desired.
Further highlights:
The view: Simply breathtaking! Watching the Alps turn red during an evening aperitif is fascinating, and waking up to this panoramic view and drinking coffee in the middle of nature in the morning is wonderful.
The hosts Ruth and Walter: Absolutely perfect. You receive an incredibly warm welcome, communication is always straightforward, and Ruth and Walter always make you feel very welcome.
The location: Siselen offers a wonderful combination of many things, and everything can be reached relatively quickly by bike: the proximity to the water (Hagneck Canal 5 minutes by bike, Lake Biel approx. 15) invites you for a spontaneous dip. At the same time, shopping facilities are reachable in no time (we usually head towards Täuffelen, where there is a bakery, one of the best butcher shops in the region, and various supermarkets).
Conclusion:
Everything is just right here. If you are looking for peace in nature but don't want to do without comfort, top infrastructure, and proximity to water and shops, this is the place for you. Thank you, Ruth and Walter!
