At Mattenhof, on the outskirts of Rotkreuz, a small, charming camp awaits you. By our old 'Schürli' (small barn), you can wonderfully enjoy the peace and quiet and watch as the setting sun bathes our fields, trees, and pastures in a warm glow. Despite the tranquility, you're not 'off the beaten path.' The village, with excellent highway access and SBB train connections, is just a 15-minute walk away. In our Schürli, you'll find fresh water (cold only), electricity, and plenty of play options for children. Your toilet and washbasin for dishes are located in our garage, 350m from the camp. Activity Tips: Hike (or bike tour) to Michaelskreuz Chapel and Restaurant. Hike over Chiemen (LU) to Immensee (SZ) and return by boat and public transport. Visit Kneippgarten Gisikon (on foot or by bike). A stroll from the Schürli to Restaurant Breitfeld, including a mini-golf course. Visit Mall of Switzerland & Oana Surf Wave. Visit 'Pilatus Indoor' climbing hall. Family-friendly: Since SEP 2023, I've been running my own farm playgroup here. In the Schürli, you'll find games, books & co. that our Nomady children are welcome to use. The same applies to the large sand and gravel pit.

There is plenty of space, and dogs don't need to be kept on a leash as long as they have a reliable recall. Our own farm dog loves to drop by for a visit now and then. If this is an issue because your dog isn't fond of company, please just let us know. By the way, she responds very well to the command 'Joya, goh häi!' (Joya, go home!).

Rules

Please avoid walking on the meadow when the grass is tall.

Please do not feed the farm animals, including the dog.

Please leave the camp tidy and clean upon your departure.

Notes

Fire: There is no designated fire pit on site. However, you are welcome to build your own fire, such as a high fire or in a Solo Stove, provided the weather is calm and you exercise sufficient caution and maintain a safe distance. Please bring all necessary equipment for your fire.

Please clarify this with us upon arrival. Fire hazard in the 'Schürli' (small barn/shed).

The Nomady spot at Nadine & Stefan's is wonderful – surrounded by meadows, in a very quiet location, well-equipped, and the starry sky is gigantic! Communication with the hosts is pleasant and straightforward. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you!

It was a really lovely spot for relaxation. We were able to thoroughly enjoy our stay. The toilet was also in the immediate vicinity, and that way we even got to meet the farm dog. Another highlight was the goats next door and the fact that there was a drinking water connection. Access was no problem at all. Thank you, we would gladly come again!

Beautiful place, perfect for a stay with small children (aged 2 & 4). They loved the play barn and were allowed to help feed the chickens and pigs and collect the eggs. The hosts were very friendly and easy-going. We would love to come back.
