At our farm (camp located behind the farmhouse, 2 pitches), you can relax as you please, enjoy the wonderful view of the Tödi, or use this as a base for hiking, cycling, and excursions. The peace and quiet is only occasionally interrupted by a passing train or a tractor. An idyllic public fire pit is just a 200m walk away right by the Linth river (Note: an absolute fire ban is currently in effect). The spot behind the barn was perfect. Electricity was available. The toilet and shower were very clean. Everything was perfect 👌
Great parking space, well located for various excursions.
Nice hostess, electricity/WC/shower available, clean and functional. The dishwashing area could be improved.
Good starting point for excursions
What we liked:
- the welcome from Jakob and his explanations
- the pitch with a view of the Tödi and under the apple tree
- the infrastructure with bathroom, dishwashing facilities, and farm shop
- the chickens as neighbors
- the good location for excursions
- the Glarus region in general
What we had to get used to:
- hay dust: because of the nice weather, it was haymaking season
- the many flies that swarmed our food, but were otherwise invisible
What we didn't like:
- nothing
Straightforward check-in and check-out. Friendly and attentive hosts. The electric fence around the chicken coop slightly disrupted the idyllic atmosphere.
