Hello dear camping friends,
I'm Martin and I'm a lucky guy. You see, I live in the most beautiful spot on earth, in the Lesach Valley, the most beautiful valley in the Alps.
The panoramic pitch is situated at an altitude of nearly 1200m in the middle of the Lesach Valley. From there you have a distant view of over 130km across the whole of Carinthia. In addition to the magnificent view, we offer you the opportunity to dine in our inn. Whether with an aperitif before dinner or a coffee in the afternoon – everything tastes twice as good on our sun terrace.
At the Gasthof am Lahnerhof you are also welcome to have breakfast – our breakfast is available daily from 7:30 to 9:30 am. A cozy dinner is also possible with us. Please note that we are closed on Tuesdays and do not offer dinner on that day.
The inn is open from mid-May to mid-October and over New Year's Eve.
The approach to the Lahnerhof is typical of our beautiful mountain region: winding, sometimes narrow and with every meter of altitude a little more spectacular. Especially the last approximately 2 km from the main road up to Obergail are somewhat challenging for large campers. With a forward-looking driving style and a bit of calm, the route is definitely manageable. Once you arrive at the top, you will be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view over the Carinthian mountains – and by then the journey will soon be forgotten.
Our pitch is particularly suitable for self-sufficient campers who are looking for something special.
You are also welcome to use our shower in the garden – as it is a 'panoramic shower', we recommend swimwear. The toilets in the inn are also available to you from 7:00-23:00 (just a two-minute walk away).
Grey and black water disposal is not possible.
On arrival, the local and overnight tax (€4.00 per person / day) will be charged on site.

Notes on the facilities
We offer two different pitches, which are assigned by the hosts depending on availability. Please note that the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. Restrooms in the inn are available during regular opening hours (07:00–23:00), while the garden shower can be used around the clock. Please be aware that there are no disposal facilities for greywater or sewage!

The cutoff is the latest check-in time of this spot — not midnight. Cancellations apply to the entire booking including extra products. Partial cancellations are not possible. The access road is very winding and narrow in places, but it shouldn't be a problem for standard motorhomes and caravans.

First and foremost, you'll be immersed in untouched nature, ready to be explored in countless ways. Besides numerous hiking trails accessible directly from your pitch, there's a charming mountain lake, a captivating waterfall, cozy huts for refreshments, exciting mountain biking paths, and an outdoor pool right at the house, which you are, of course, welcome to use. For the little ones, a trampoline and swing await, while a wonderful sun terrace provides the perfect spot to unwind after a beautiful day.

Overall, a really beautiful pitch in a prime location. The welcome was very nice, and everything was generally very hospitable and personal. The pitches have a fantastic view, and with electricity and water right at the site, everything you need is there. The outdoor shower is wonderful and, contrary to what I expected, even warm. Going for breakfast is also a great option, though it's recommended not to go too late as the selection becomes more limited. Having private toilets that stay open after 11 PM would make the whole thing perfect; otherwise, everything is top-notch!
A fantastic view to fall asleep and wake up to. The stars at night were incredible. Friendly hosts and amazing food at the restaurant. A peaceful and quiet place with electricity and water available. 10/10 – highly recommended!
1. The view was amazing! Anyone who gets up early in the morning shouldn't miss this sunrise.
2. The hosts were very nice. We felt very comfortable. We were allowed to use the large pool and the outdoor shower with a magnificent panoramic view.

Actually, you shouldn't recommend this place so that it doesn't get overrun, but the two owners deserve to get a great review.

Super nice and warm hosts. The view is truly breathtaking - just like the drive there! :) I'm deducting one star because our pitch was right next to the stairs to the guesthouse and door-to-door with another camper van - I expected something different from the photos. If you get one of the spots to the left of the house: great!
Fantastic agri-campsite with a great view, animals, and perfectly maintained sanitary facilities including music, just as described. Simply a dream. We will come again.
Wonderful panoramic spot! Clear view over the valley and into the mountains – a dream. Meeting the whole family from Lahnerhof was also especially lovely. We recommend treating yourself to dinner with a good wine at the inn. The dishes are cooked with love and regional products – plus allergy-friendly upon request.
