Uncertain weather forecast? No problem! If the weather doesn't play along or if you just want to get extra cozy, you can pitch your tent inside our former pasture shelter right on the meadow. A small tent fits easily without the metal floor strut getting in the way. If that doesn't bother you, a larger tent can be set up as well. Of course, you are also welcome to pitch your tent freely out in front of the shelter. The pitch is located on a meadow; cross it and you will reach the stream. There you will find water as well as a toilet hut with a separating composting toilet reserved exclusively for our tent guests. For those who prefer not to freshen up in the stream, a solar camping shower bag is available (in summer). Simply fill it up, hang it in the sun, and enjoy warm water. You cannot drive your car directly up to the tent; parking is located about 100 meters away. You will have quite good reception with Vodafone/D2, and Telekom/D1 works well a few meters away. Our meadow is situated in a peaceful side valley, right next to the Black Forest National Park. We offer a second campsite located directly by the stream near the parking area. If it is occupied, you can see each other across the meadow, but you will still be well spaced apart. Above the slope behind the shelter runs a small lane, but it is not a through road and has very little traffic. At the main house, you will find (chilled) drinks, usually coffee/tea, and ice cream on a self-service trust-box basis. Additionally, starting in May, you can pre-order fresh morning rolls from the bakery. Simply specify your choice in the comments field when booking (Kaiser, poppy seed, or sesame rolls—hotel size, slightly smaller—all for €0.60 each, pretzel for €1.30). Please leave the exact amount upon arrival in the honesty box at the main house; the rolls will be ready for you the following morning. Important: orders must be placed 3 days in advance!
