In the relaxation room of our garden sauna, two hikers or cyclists can enjoy a minimalist yet incredibly romantic overnight stay. You'll sleep on your sleeping mats in your sleeping bags on the floor. Please note, dogs are not permitted as we have free-roaming cats and two hunting dogs who do not get along with other canines. We live in St. Blasien, directly below the Albsteig trail, and boast a natural garden awarded by the Black Forest Biosphere Reserve. This garden extends over our garages, where our garden sauna with a terrace offers a unique view over the garden towards the Sanagarten and the cathedral. The Albsteig, Schluchtensteig, and many other hiking trails are directly accessible from our garden. On the other hand, St. Blasien's shopping street (city center) with its many small shops and charming cafes is within walking distance. Lidl and Schmidts Markt are also easily reachable. We are right in the heart of things, yet it's so peaceful that you can hear our frog croaking at night and wake up to the cheerful chirping of sparrows in the morning.

- Imagine waking up to the breathtaking view of my natural garden right from your sleeping bag! If you're lucky, you might even spot Herbert, our hedgehog, scurrying by at night. Our cats, Freddi and Rosalie, are sure to make an appearance, and your mornings will be serenaded by the cheerful chirping of birds.

There are plenty of seating areas, so you can choose whether to relax by the lily pond, in the terraced garden, by the hot tub, in front of the beehive, or on a sun lounger right outside your sleeping area.

As our accommodation is designed for multi-day hikers or cyclists, there is only one paid parking space available on Bernau-Menzenschwander-Str.

Gabi gave us a very warm welcome in her beautiful garden. After cooling our tired hiking feet in a large water tub, we enjoyed the last rays of sunshine on the top garden terrace. Afterwards, Gabi gave us some useful dining tips. We spent a peaceful night in the garden sauna and would love to come back.
I received a very warm welcome from Gabi in her beautiful garden. It really is a wonderful place to relax a bit after a long day of hiking! And the anteroom in the sauna cabin offers plenty of space and tranquility.

This was our second time staying with Gaby. Gaby is incredibly nice, the garden is still absolutely amazing, and the breakfast—with homemade baguettes upon request—leaves nothing to be desired. We would come back anytime.

We had a very warm welcome, and not having to set up the tent ourselves was practical; the hot tub was also a nice way to cool down. Perhaps something like a sink or a drain could be considered for the future? Best regards and happy hiking!
