Höchster Punkt des Gmundnerberges

Alexandra was a very friendly host and the spot itself looked like something out of a fairytale — absolutely beautiful! 🌿⛰️ Unfortunately, it was much less private and peaceful than we expected. Despite the rainy and bad weather, there were people on the mountain almost constantly, from sunrise around 6:00 until sunset around 21:00. Most came to enjoy the view and take photos of the lake, and sometimes we and our rooftop tent ended up in their photos too, wich made us feel a little uncomfortable🙈 It’s a truly magical place with a lovely host, but if you’re mainly looking for privacy, peace and being alone in nature, it’s good to know that the mountain attracts a lot of visitors throughout the day.

We spent a night here for my husband's birthday and couldn't be more thrilled. The view from the top of the Gmundnerberg over Lake Traunsee and the surrounding mountain scenery is simply priceless!

The view up on the mountain is simply incredible, and Alex is extremely helpful, friendly, and loves kids. Our son took part in their alpaca trek and thought it was fantastic. We traveled with a rooftop tent and unfortunately the weather took a turn, so we had to move into the car during the night until the thunderstorms passed. We still had an amazing time both up on the mountain and swimming at Lake Traunsee. We'd love to come back!

Perfect view; like in another review, there were some visitors at the viewpoint during our stay as well. Our biggest issue was that opening the barrier didn't work very well, possibly due to the short-notice booking.
