Holzfass Bauernhof-Auszeit

Our short trip to Schwarzenburg was great. Lydia, Markus, and the whole family on the farm gave us a very warm welcome. Plus, the wooden barrel has everything you need in a very compact space. Our stay was only short, but we will definitely come back to Katzenstyg!

Die Familie war sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Holzfass war gemütlich eingerichtet und wir haben alles Nötige zum Kochen gefunden. Tagsüber war das Holzfass zwar aufgeheizt, aber nachts hat es sich auch sehr abgekühlt. Mit den Decken war es im Sommer warm genug zum Schlafen. Nur die Fliegen waren etwas störend, daher wären Fliegennetze eine super Ergänzung an den Fenstern.

It was absolutely wonderful. A big thank you to the family. It is a very beautiful, quiet place. I stayed there for one night with my two sisters and we all really enjoyed it. Everything was tip-top; we especially enjoyed the outdoor fondue and the hot pot. We would love to come back again.

Very friendly hosts, a fantastic barrel, beautifully and top-notch furnished, and very clean. There were wasp nests on the outside of the barrel, but they were removed immediately once we reported them. The peace and quiet in the evening in front of the barrel with views of nothing but nature was wonderful! And the cat that likes to visit the barrel is very cuddly. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved it – the perfect getaway in nature! Lydia & Markus are warm hosts who made our stay truly special. A total highlight was that we even got to feed a newborn calf. The hot tub and the lovingly prepared, delicious breakfast basket rounded off the experience perfectly. And the friendly farm cat made our stay even sweeter. We would love to come back!

Simply wonderful, warm-hearted people in a dreamlike, beautiful corner of the world. A farm run with so much love and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The barrel is very cozily furnished and cooled down quickly in the evening (after the heat of the day). The breakfast basket was exceptionally delicious. Having the whole farm shown to us in such detail and even letting the children help out was a wonderful experience. It was also a great place for our dog.
