A very, very nice spot, pure nature and peace and quiet. The toilet, however, was really disgusting. Of course, that also depends on the previous campers!!
Absolutely beautiful spot. The pitch was level and faces an opening down to the river, which we could hear from our tent. The riverfront clearing is secluded and peaceful, with little rocky retaining walls in the water creating wading pools. The farm store has plenty to provision your trip if you pack in a few fresh fruits and veg. Truly perfect spot for tent camping, particularly for those coming in on foot like us. We will be back!
Very beautiful location on the Sihl. Even the drive there over the Seedamm, the Etzel Pass, and the sandstone Devil's Bridge was an experience in itself. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but we would love to come back for a longer stay next time. The composting toilet had a very strong odor because it was quite full, but luckily it was far away from the pitch. Unfortunately, we couldn't light a grill fire due to the drought and the fire ban, but that's not the host's fault.
As always, it was great at the Sihl 🫶🏻 See you soon!
