Camping direkt am Sihlsee

Switzerland-8847 Einsiedeln
Discover peace and relaxation in the charming, secluded Pirate's Cove, nestled directly on Lake Sihl. Whether you fancy a refreshing swim in the lake, chilling out in a hammock, paddling with a kayak or surfboard, hiking in the nearby moorland, or simply sitting by the fire and grilling some delicious food – this is your perfect escape. The lake lido with a restaurant is also just a 3-minute walk away. You can park your van or camper on the gravel parking spot, which is located directly on the lake bypass road. Tents can be pitched on the lawn, but as it's not perfectly flat, we recommend it for experienced campers. A fire pit with firewood and a cozy picnic table invite you to linger and enjoy. Please note that this is a place that truly offers an authentic camping experience. But don't worry, you won't have to do your business in the woods! A self-built WC cabin is available. For hygiene reasons, waste is collected in a bag, which must then be taken with you and disposed of. If you follow the instructions, it's a simple yet definitely clean solution ;). Lake Sihl is Switzerland's largest RESERVOIR by area. It is fully filled from May 1st each year. Sports and Fun: Two kayaks, two surfboards, and a hammock are freely available for your use. Important: - Please take your waste bag with you and dispose of it in the nearest bin. Thank you! - For anglers, we recommend observing the regulations for Lake Sihl! Greetings, Captain Jack-s'Pierro

Very nice place! We would gladly come back!
The spot by the lake is very nice, but as described, not level. With a vehicle, you are parked up top on the not-so-nice gravel area right by the road.
Everything was great!
The description is almost accurate: we couldn't find the hammock ;-) The place is beautiful! Right on the lake and everything looks clean and tidy! I would come back anytime, however, I find the price for one night too expensive. Especially since there is only a pit latrine. All in all, a very worthwhile place to stay with a magnificent backdrop around the lake!
A beautiful, quiet, and idyllic spot – perfect for enjoying nature. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. It's an advantage to have a backup toilet with you, just in case the existing one wasn't left clean by previous guests. Otherwise, a great place to switch off and relax. Many thanks!
Great location, but the site itself is unfortunately very overgrown and dark. Everything feels a bit run-down and neglected. On top of that, the next tenants arrived as early as 9:00 AM, which was quite stressful for us. We sent them away, but the whole situation was a bit disruptive. Luckily, the site was right next to the public pool (Badi) which was open late; we just spent most of our time there, as that's where the toilets and showers were too. In the end, it was like an expensive parking spot for the pool... A shame really, because I think the place could be made really nice if someone had the motivation.
I would like to sincerely thank Pierro; it was dreamlike, very quiet, exactly what I wanted, a very beautiful place.
