Camping in the Eifel

Römerhof in der Vulkaneifel

Germany-54597 Steffeln
Campsite with an unobstructed view of Lacher Trockenmaar and the "Auf Wahlhaus" chapel. In summer, you'll be gently woken by the sound of our cows' bells. Please note that during harvest season, there might be increased traffic. The meadow is located in front of the farm. During milking times, you're welcome to taste fresh milk. Occasionally, we also have eggs from our chickens... A herd of Jersey cows ensures a relaxing atmosphere... If you're lucky, you might even witness the birth of a calf....

We had a fantastic overnight stay here! The facilities were very clean, and staying right among the cows was such a nice touch. The location was wonderfully quiet, and lighting a campfire in the evening completed the experience! It was no trouble at all to book firewood later on, and Felix was kind enough to bring it straight to our spot. We will definitely keep this place in mind for the future!
I spent a few wonderful days there and explored the area with my e-bike. A warm welcome and a very clean toilet are just two of the things that made for an extremely pleasant stay. Thank you very much!!!
Very nice campsite, very quiet. It was perfect for one night to explore the area and go hiking. The host was very kind. We even got to witness the birth of a calf.
The stay was once again an absolute highlight for my 9-year-old grandson and me! From the birth of a calf to milking and riding along on the tractor, these 3 days had it all. The two of us ended our days by the campfire at our tent. This place is for real campers who are close to nature and love simplicity. We felt completely at home with Andrea. Once back home, you do look forward to a shower. Many thanks also to Felix for bringing the wood and to the friendly, hardworking employee who takes care of the cows and the stable. We'll be back!
A wonderful farm with a truly great family ❤️ The camping meadow is spacious, there is electricity, and a fire/barbecue area is provided for you. Their son Felix is always very eager to help with everything (including jump-starting our car), and you feel completely at ease. This was my second time there, and it already feels a bit like coming home ❤️🥰
Very hospitable place. Access to clean toilets. No privacy between campers on the grounds but for the distance that the place allows. Would definitely come back!
