Schweizerhütte - Bergweide

Thomas deserves more than 5 ⭐ for this wonderfully beautiful place. Communication with Thomas before arrival and the directions are superb. Thomas is a great host. The camp is located in the middle of the forest, just as described. We had a relaxing and wonderful time. The spot is surrounded by fantastic hiking trails of the Hochschwarzwald. We will definitely come back. Thanks for the wonderful week!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely fantastic campsite! The location right on the edge of the forest is simply perfect – quiet, idyllic, and surrounded by nature. The pitch is large and offers absolute privacy. In the mornings, you're woken by birdsong, and in the evenings, you enjoy the peace and the starry sky. I'll gladly keep coming back, thanks Thomas for your hospitality.

The location is simply incredibly beautiful. Thomas, the host, was also very friendly and helpful. Overall, highly recommended.

Fantastic view and very nice host. We spent a few lovely days on the meadow and were even allowed to make a fire. We were allowed to collect the firewood ourselves in the forest. There's free drinking water at the hut that you can tap anytime. The path to the pitch was easily passable for us – but it might be more difficult for vehicles with lowered suspension. Thanks to the size of our travel group, including vehicles, we could choose between two spots. It was pleasantly quiet – only occasionally did hikers pass by, and in the distance, you could hear the ringing of cow and goat bells. Conclusion: Gladly again!

Beautifully located, we were nicely welcomed and immediately offered a fire pit.

The place is absolutely dreamy - quiet, right by the forest and yet with a wide view... We just felt completely at ease! Arriving in the afternoon, we spent some time gathering and sawing firewood in the forest, and then sat comfortably by the fire, grilling delicious food... The night was peaceful, and you could see so many stars... In the morning, we had a delicious breakfast in the sun, and fortified by that, we set off on a long hike. A new favorite spot!
