Just across the stream, you'll find yourselves directly on a fantastic hiking and cycling path. From your doorstep, embark on magnificent tours to charming, serviced mountain huts and stunning glacial lakes (like the famous Mummelsee). You can even hike or cycle up to the majestic Hornisgrinde from here! We are nestled at the entrance to the Black Forest National Park, boasting breathtaking nature, and the heart of the National Park is just a 1.5-hour walk away.

Uncertain weather forecast? No problem! If the weather doesn't play along or if you just want to get extra cozy, you can pitch your tent inside our former pasture shelter right on the meadow. A small tent fits easily without the metal floor strut getting in the way. If that doesn't bother you, a larger tent can be set up as well. Of course, you are also welcome to pitch your tent freely out in front of the shelter.

The pitch is located on a meadow; cross it and you will reach the stream. There you will find water as well as a toilet hut with a separating composting toilet reserved exclusively for our tent guests. For those who prefer not to freshen up in the stream, a solar camping shower bag is available (in summer). Simply fill it up, hang it in the sun, and enjoy warm water.

You cannot drive your car directly up to the tent; parking is located about 100 meters away. You will have quite good reception with Vodafone/D2, and Telekom/D1 works well a few meters away. Our meadow is situated in a peaceful side valley, right next to the Black Forest National Park.

We offer a second campsite located directly by the stream near the parking area. If it is occupied, you can see each other across the meadow, but you will still be well spaced apart. Above the slope behind the shelter runs a small lane, but it is not a through road and has very little traffic.

At the main house, you will find (chilled) drinks, usually coffee/tea, and ice cream on a self-service trust-box basis.
Additionally, starting in May, you can pre-order fresh morning rolls from the bakery. Simply specify your choice in the comments field when booking (Kaiser, poppy seed, or sesame rolls—hotel size, slightly smaller—all for €0.60 each, pretzel for €1.30). Please leave the exact amount upon arrival in the honesty box at the main house; the rolls will be ready for you the following morning. Important: orders must be placed 3 days in advance!

For reliable mobile reception, Vodafone is your best bet, as other networks aren't guaranteed in our area. You can charge your phone or e-bike battery at the main house, located approximately 100 meters away.

We're not in the village center, and there isn't a supermarket right around the corner (it's a 15-minute drive). You can reach the nearest restaurant in a lovely 30-minute walk along the stream, or if you have a car, you'll be there in just 3 minutes. The most delightful dining experience? Simply a picnic or preparing delicious, simple meals under the starry sky!

Our location is right at the entrance to the Black Forest National Park. Iconic spots like Mummelsee, Hornisgrinde, and Wildsee are directly accessible from here. Beyond that, you're surrounded by pristine nature, with a beautiful stream just a short walk across the meadow.

Just across the stream, you'll find yourself right on the hiking and cycling trails. There are wonderful routes starting directly from the property leading to cozy mountain huts and glacial cirque lakes (such as the Mummelsee); you can even hike or bike up to the Hornisgrinde from here. We are located in the heart of the Black Forest National Park surrounded by stunning nature, with the very center of the park reachable in just a 1.75-hour walk.

Our meadow is idyllically located right by a stream, just a stone's throw from the forest. At night, a fox might wander past, an owl might call, and in the clear Black Forest air, you'll enjoy a stunning view of the starry sky above.

The meadow is situated about 100 metres from the main house—so you're not completely alone in the wilderness, but far enough away to enjoy complete peace and quiet. The pitch is located in the middle of the meadow directly on the stream, with direct water access. At the far corner of the meadow and diagonally opposite, we offer one or two additional tent pitches. However, these are spaced very far apart to guarantee your privacy. The toilet cabin is shared.

Electricity for charging batteries/devices is available upon prior request. Water is sourced directly from the stream (not certified as drinking water, but good quality spring water; it should be boiled before consumption). On site, there is a composting/separating toilet reserved exclusively for our camping guests. For anyone who prefers not to take a dip in the stream, a solar camp shower bag is available (from mid-April) hanging by the toilet cabin: simply fill it from the stream, hang it in the sun, and enjoy warm water.

At the main house, you'll find (chilled) drinks, usually coffee/tea, snacks, and ice cream available on a self-service honesty-box system. In addition, from May onwards, you can pre-order fresh bakery rolls for the next morning. Simply let us know your preferences via chat when booking (Kaiser, poppy seed, sesame—hotel size/slightly smaller, all €0.60 each; pretzels €1.30). You can deposit the exact amount in the honesty box at the main house upon arrival, and your rolls will be ready there the next morning. IMPORTANT: Orders must be placed at least 3 days in advance!

Our pitch is designed for a small tent for up to 2 people. If you have a larger tent or are more than 2 people, please contact us before booking.

For optimal mobile reception, Vodafone is recommended. Charging facilities for your mobile phone or e-bike battery are available at the main house (approx. 100m away) for a fee and require advance booking.

We're not in the village center, and there isn't a supermarket right around the corner (it's about a 15-minute drive). You can reach the nearest restaurant with a lovely 30-minute stroll along the stream, or in just 3 minutes if you have a car. But the simplest and most beautiful option is to enjoy a picnic or prepare a simple meal by the stream under the stars. We offer self-service drinks, usually coffee, and sometimes ice cream/snacks at the main house.

Nature, woods, and meadows – we are located right in the heart of the National Park, with popular spots like Lake Mummelsee and the Hornisgrinde within easy reach.
