The Horbelehof is truly a wonderful place in the heart of nature and a paradise for children. The horses create a very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, everything is designed with great attention to detail, there are various swings, deck chairs, and seating areas to relax and read, lots of toys, and a playground, and the hosts are incredibly friendly – a place to recharge and find peace. The tipi is in a lovely location with the fire pit right next to it, though the tent is not entirely waterproof during heavy rain. The lovely common room was a great retreat for us during the day to make a coffee or cook something. Our dog was also very welcome and was allowed to run free on the property, and there are also very nice hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. We will definitely be back!

It is a beautiful place with very nice hosts. I highly recommend it. At night we could hear foxes barking and during the day we enjoyed the woods. We would love to come back. Best regards, Anna-Lena

What a hidden gem! Eric and Desiree have created a wonderful, magical place at Horbelerhof: a place where you can simply be yourself and truly find peace. It felt like Pippi Longstocking meets Bullerby – that’s how our holiday felt here. We spent a whole week in the tipi with our 4-year-old whirlwind. For anyone traveling with wild kids: book this spot. It is absolute paradise for both adults and children. Our son was welcomed with all his liveliness and was allowed to play freely on the farm, be loud, and just be a kid. There is a cozy common room where you can do the dishes and use the shared fridge. Right next to it is a well-maintained compost toilet, and further up at the edge of the forest is the spacious tipi, with a fire pit, firewood, and a table right beside it. Various hammocks and swings, along with a treehouse and sandbox, constantly invite you to play. Sometimes the free-roaming pony stood next to us grazing while we read or napped in the hammock. The nature and the tranquility of the surroundings allow you to completely unwind. Nevertheless, shops and a small, sleepy town are only a 15-minute drive away. For us, this stay was the highlight of our summer. Thanks to Eric and Desi for your warm hospitality and kindness – we’d love to come back!
