Camping at Lake Thun

Ägelseeblick

Switzerland-3754 Diemtigen
A place to unwind and enjoy the tranquility, with views of Lake Ägelsee and the Simmental valley. We are located on the edge of the Diemtigtal Nature Park, offering wonderful hiking and biking opportunities. Your camper van (4x4 recommended) can be parked directly next to our rarely used wooden barn. In autumn and winter, it's very often fog-free and sunny here. The camp is best reached with an off-road camper or van, as the access road is quite steep. Around the barn, you can set up your deck …

The view, the pitch, and the absolute peace and quiet are top-notch. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio isn't right. You don't see or feel any engagement from the host. The dishwashing station is, sorry, really dirty and very poor—only cold water flows. Electricity is available, but a 20m cable isn't enough (what van carries more than 20m of cable?). As a guest, you pay a CHF 3.50 tourist tax, but information or access to the many benefits is missing. With very little effort, the comfort could be greatly improved. A paid trash bag could also be offered. By the way, 'Beer Recycling' nearby accepts recycling 24/7. And: a direct booking option would make travel planning easier.
Mega breathtaking view of the lake and towards the Stockhorn. Beautiful spot, cozy and secluded.
Wonderful campsite. Everything was perfect. The driveway to the site is very steep. It shouldn't be a problem with 4WD.
