The shepherd's hut is located on the farm, close to the animals, accessible via a natural path. Equipped with a double bed up high, with seating underneath. WC, shower and kitchen are on the farm grounds, about 50 m away, shared rooms.
The shepherd's wagon can be heated and has a small kitchenette. You can cater for yourself or get breakfast from the farm (15 CHF / person extra)
Guest access
The access is through the farm, past the stable, via a natural path.
Winter description
In winter, our farm comes to rest, nature stands still for a while and waits. Every now and then, snow pays us a visit. This can make access a little more difficult at times, but in return it transforms everything into its white dress.

WC, shower, and kitchen are located on the farm grounds. You'll share these areas with other guests. No WiFi in the accommodation. However, you'll have WiFi on the farm and in the kitchen.

Make use of our spacious lounge including a kitchen (dishwasher, stovetop, oven, dishes). Thanks to underfloor heating, it stays pleasantly warm even in winter.
Families can also enjoy a spacious playground. Please note our quiet hours on the farm from 12:00 to 17:00 – during this time, the farmyard is not available to you.

You can cancel up to 3 days before the latest check-in time on the arrival day. The refund includes the booking amount minus 1.5x the displayed Nomady fee. The cutoff is the latest check-in time of this spot — not midnight. Cancellations apply to the entire booking including extra products. Partial cancellations are not possible. Cancellations are only accepted via the designated cancellation tool. Verbal or written agreements cannot be taken into account. You can find out how to cancel in our FAQs.
Surroundings & Activities
Winter access
Our access road is cleared in winter. However, during heavy snowfall, access may be difficult for a few hours. If you're unsure, get in touch with us. In the worst case, we'll pull you up with the tractor ;)

Shopping facilities
We run a small farm shop on our property offering eggs, honey, ice cream in summer, cheese, yogurt, and some seasonal specialties.
In the village of Aeschi there are further shopping options such as a bakery, butcher, and the village shop Volg (open 7 days a week).
Our shepherd's wagon is situated directly above our animals' pasture (goats, sheep, horses, donkeys) and right next to a valuable hedgerow. You'll enjoy a wonderfully expansive view of the mountains or down into the valley.
The Bernese Oberland offers you an incredible variety of winter activities. Our location is the ideal starting point for the hotspots in our region. Grindelwald, Kandersteg, Interlaken, Adelboden, Gstaad – all easily reachable from Aeschi. The village also has extensive cross-country ski trails. In a good winter, you can step right from our farm onto the trail.
