Everything was great, a wonderful, beautiful spot and an extremely well-stocked farm shop. In addition, there was even the option for pony riding, which was really great. Thank you very much!
NOT RECOMMENDED. The owners may be farmers, but they simply do not know how to host guests. What is completely missing here is basic warmth and hospitality. They don't speak a word of English and don't even make an effort when you try to communicate in German. Check-in was rushed and lacked the most essential information, such as waste disposal, which was later blamed on us anyway. Particularly upsetting: We were there with two small children (aged 2 and 4). Instead of a warm welcome, the children seemed to be nothing but a nuisance to the hostess. Not a single friendly word, just constant rebukes: "Clean that up, put that over there." We understand and respect rules on a farm, but HOW you communicate them makes all the difference. Here, orders were barked rather than explained, and we were policed rather than welcomed. For a place that explicitly caters to families, this is unacceptable. Important to know: All photos in the listing are at least 5 years old. The dining table and wooden benches shown in the pictures are actually in very poor condition. The bathroom is literally inside the barn. There is a single toilet for all guests, constantly occupied in the morning. Don't even get us started on the shower. There is no waste disposal or recycling anywhere on the premises. If you stay for several days, you simply don't know where to put your rubbish. The campsite is right next to the chicken coop: in summer, this means a constant stench and thousands of flies. You can only stay inside the tent after nightfall, which is a real problem with two toddlers. Bottom line: Hosts who demand everything and give nothing in return, treating you like a burden rather than a paying guest—and all for a hefty price. They want to offer camping, but have neither the infrastructure nor the attitude for it. There are far better alternatives in the area, especially for families.
The shop was a nice surprise, there is absolutely anything that you want. Very nice selection. We saw few local people buying for there too… which is always a good sign. The rooster is an “early bird” 😏
