Our camp is located in a secluded spot just outside the village of Ried-Mörel. A 10-minute walk or a 3-minute drive takes you to the cable car, which brings you directly to the Aletsch Arena and the UNESCO World Heritage Aletsch Glacier. The site accommodates up to 15 people, offering peace, wild nature, and stunning views of the Goms valley and the Simplon pass, with minimal comfort for a true rustic experience. Multiple vans or tents can be set up on the gravel area, though a separate reservation is required for each vehicle/tent. Please note: the entrance to the camp is a bit tricky. YOUR VEHICLE NEEDS SUFFICIENT GROUND CLEARANCE TO CROSS A THRESHOLD AND MUST NOT BE TOO LONG! A standard-length VW bus can make it, but it requires patience and skill to maneuver inside. For lifted short-wheelbase vans or any standard car, access is no problem.

Notes on the facilities
The site features a composting toilet, as well as a sun sail, a shaded pergola, a hammock, a fire pit, and a fountain (not drinking water, though it can be consumed if boiled). Children and dogs are welcome to splash around in it. Badminton and a Kubb set are available in the yellow wagon. You are welcome to use the fire pit as long as no fire ban is in effect. Please always extinguish the embers thoroughly! The Valais is a very dry region increasingly prone to wildfires—I kindly ask you to handle this responsibly. You can bring your own firewood or gather it on-site. When the stable is empty, it can be used as a shelter. All amenities are located close together.
A hiking trail passes right by the camp, offering several routes through beautiful, wild, and diverse nature. The cable car to Riederalp is just a 10-minute walk away, providing access to countless trails of varying difficulty levels in all directions. The site is secluded, yet the village is only a 10-minute walk away—10 minutes to the cable car station and 10 minutes to the local shop. The Aletsch Glacier and the Aletsch region are quickly accessible by cable car and on foot, offering breathtaking nature alongside various sporting activities.

The grounds are mostly fenced, allowing your dogs to roam freely. There is also a fountain where they can cool off. Please ensure all dog waste is disposed of properly.
The area is mostly fenced and features a sand-and-gravel surface, making it a giant sandbox for children to enjoy.

You can cancel up to 24 hours before the latest check-in time on the arrival day. The refund includes the booking amount minus 1.5x the displayed Nomady fee. The cutoff is the latest check-in time of this spot — not midnight. Cancellations apply to the entire booking including extra products. Partial cancellations are not possible. In the village (a 10-15 minute walk), you will find a local shop and the cable car station, which whisks you down to the valley in 5 minutes or up to Riederalp in 8 minutes. Both on the Alp and in the valley, there are various shops, restaurants, and public transport links to further extend your hikes or excursions. Riederalp is home to the stunning Aletsch Glacier and its surrounding protected 'fairytale forest.' There is also a wide range of activities on offer, including a golf course, mountain carting, downhill biking, and much more.
This spot is nestled between the wild nature of Valais and agricultural land. The surrounding nature is simply beautiful, wild, and diverse, and the views are absolutely stunning! On clear, starry nights, you'll truly appreciate the relatively low light pollution in this region. It's common to see foxes or deer passing by at night.
This is a tranquil retreat, perfect for those who love hiking, biking, or simply immersing themselves in nature. For the more adventurous, the stunning Aletsch region, home to the magnificent Aletsch Glacier, is just minutes away. Here, you'll find a wealth of activities, from biking and hiking to golf, SUP, pedal boat rentals, and swimming in Lake Bettmersee.
A unique highlight of our offering is the opportunity to bring your own horse! We have space for up to 4 horses in the stable or paddock (15 CHF per horse/night). The area boasts diverse and challenging riding trails of varying difficulty. Upon request, I can even accompany you on your rides.

Easy to chat with Simone, but we did not end up staying at the campsite in the end, so can’t review the place.
Very beautiful view.
Good spot, you really get some peace and quiet. Aside from a few dry twigs, though, we didn't find any firewood, and what was supposed to be the shelter remained a mystery to us. But it worked out fine anyway, and otherwise we could have just called to ask. Would gladly come back again.
Everything was tip-top, exactly as described, with a beautiful view. Gondola easily accessible on foot and by bike.

We felt very comfortable and undisturbed on Simone's level gravel pitch. Central yet somewhat secluded, which suited us perfectly. Enjoying the starry sky in the evening silence and then being gently kissed awake by the sun in the peaceful morning—a wonderful privilege. We also appreciated the nearby gondola, which whisked us up to the Aletsch Arena in just a few minutes. It's a pity that there is no restaurant in the village where you could indulge in something a bit more culinary special.... Urs and Madlen
Nice, level gravel spot with a good view of the mountains. We had a pleasant, quiet night. The entrance requires a bit of driving skill, but is easily manageable for 4x4s.
We were able to spend a few wonderful days at this beautiful site. If you are easygoing and looking for peace and quiet, this is exactly the right place for you. We would love to come back! Best regards, Christoph and Simona
