The Spycher-Häuschen (little granary house) is nestled on a small organic mountain farm, peacefully situated and surrounded by forests, meadows, and pastures. Donkeys, goats, cows, chickens, ducks, and cats share our farm life with us. You'll enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Sarnen and the majestic mountains. Far from the hustle and bustle of traffic, you'll be enveloped by the tranquility of nature – with the sounds of tawny owls, bats, deer, and foxes filling the night. The Spycher-Häuschen has two floors. On the lower floor, you'll find a cozy living area with a kitchen (dishes, pots, and an espresso maker are provided). The attic offers sleeping arrangements for two people. If you're more than two, the sofa in the living area can be converted into an additional bed. (For children: additional mattresses can be provided in the attic upon request). The ground floor of the Spycher is used by the host family as cellar rooms. Your newly renovated guest toilet and shower are located in the farmhouse right next door. (Please note the shower room height: 196cm). During cooler temperatures, the Spycher can be warmed with a charming Swedish stove. The Spycher is insulated according to its age, so it cools down quickly when outside temperatures drop. However, the Swedish stove quickly brings back the warmth. Do you enjoy making a fire and savoring the 'heimelig' (cozy) and comforting feeling of stove warmth? Then the Spycher is the perfect place for you. An outdoor seating area is available for shared use. If you'd like to build a simple nomadic fire, we'll gladly help you find a beautiful spot in nature. The access road to the farm is a very steep concrete path. With a bit of courage and a 'normal' vehicle, it's easily passable in summer up to the Spycher at your own risk. This allows you to unload your luggage at the camp. However, our farmyard is unfortunately too small for you to leave your vehicle there. Therefore, the Nomady parking lot is a 3-minute walk from the Spycher. [For guests with physical limitations, we will find a solution.]

Notes on the facilities
The kitchen is simple but functional. Besides the basic cooking equipment, you'll find a fondue pot, kettle, and espresso maker. It also comes with a few spices, salt, sugar, tea, oil, and vinegar. There's a hairdryer available, and in the 'Spycher' (storage shed), you'll find slippers in sizes 39 and 41.

The area immediately surrounding the 'Spycher' is a smoke-free zone. You are welcome to smoke or vape at the designated smoking area, located approximately 30 meters from the 'Spycher'.

Surroundings & Activities
Winter access
In winter, parking is located a 5-minute walk from the Spycher cottage. Access to the parking area may be snow-covered; a 4WD vehicle is recommended.
Shopping facilities
For your next meal, you'll find options in the village of Giswil (a 15-minute drive from the camp), right by the train station at Coop or in Schnider's village shop. From May to October, the weekly market takes place on Saturdays in Sarnen's village square, offering fresh organic and Demeter vegetables, fruits, bread, and dairy products. Also located in the village square is the organic shop Viva. The Landgasthof Grossteil is the closest restaurant. Other restaurants in Giswil include Restaurant Bahnhöfli or Alpenrösli in Kleinteil. From November to April, you can find organic and Demeter quality vegetables at the Spechtsbrenden farm shop in Giswil.
- Reach Lake Sarnen in 50 minutes on foot (10 minutes by car) with beautiful wild swimming spots or the campsite's bathing area with a restaurant. - In just 20 minutes on foot, discover the Steinibach gorge, perfect for adventurers. - A 10-minute drive takes you to the Laui mountain stream for cozy barbecues, dam building, stone stacking, and swimming. - Enjoy hikes directly from the camp into the Glaubenberg/Glaubenbielen hiking area. - Various biking routes in the vicinity. - Pumptrack in Giswil. - Mörlialp ski resort nearby. - Climbing opportunities in Melchsee-Frutt and Brünig. - Birdsong, wild animals, forest, and meadows right at the camp. - Boat trips on Lake Sarnen. - Lake Lungern nearby.

Thank you very much for the wonderful days! Everything is as described in the pictures. It is incredibly beautiful there and the view is priceless. Everything was very clean and tidy! We will definitely come back. We really enjoyed living with the animals in close proximity. It was perfect for switching off, but also for getting some work done with a beautiful view:)

Everything was simply wonderful! The location is fantastic, and there are plenty of opportunities for young children to play and explore. The entire family was incredibly warm and lovely. We felt completely at home and will definitely recommend it!

We received a warm welcome and felt very much at home in the Spycher-Hüüsli. The accommodation is simple but very clean, cozy, and lovingly furnished. For its size, the kitchen is well-equipped. The surroundings are very quiet, so you can leave the windows open at night and truly relax during the day. The view from the farm over Lake Sarnen and the mountains is beautiful. Our son really enjoyed the hammocks, the trampoline, and the animals. Important to know if you have mobility issues: the road from the parking lot to the farm and the stairs to and inside the Spycher-Hüüsli are steep. We can highly recommend this accommodation!

Everything is there and close by, though you still have to walk a bit and climb a few stairs. The 'Stöckli' suits Nomandy perfectly—a cozy apartment in a beautiful location, yet with a bit of a camper vibe. We thank Luzia and David for their hospitality.

A place beyond imagination, a place beyond all description. You have to experience and feel this place for yourself. The path to the Spycherli—I arrived by bike—is exceptionally strenuous. I arrived almost on my knees, exhausted and spent. I rode uphill from Giswil for half an hour. The place welcomed me and gave me new strength and motivation. THANK YOU.
