The forest is right on your doorstep for a pleasant hike through the Thuringian woods. The Amenities Fire pit, BBQ facilities, lounge seating, additional seating area, pool. Activities Experience Europe's largest accessible fissure and crevice cave, the Goetz Cave, on a tour – and in our district capital, Meiningen, the Meiningen State Theatre invites you to a visit. Unfortunately, there was a double booking. It is very inconvenient when you arrive a bit late and have to come up with a Plan B in a short time. When asking at the campsite, it turned out this has happened quite frequently. A shame. Best to check several times to make sure the pitch is really available.

Nice, quiet spot on the outskirts of town. Not necessarily the wilderness, but very peaceful. Also ideal with kids. 10 minutes to the center.
