What is that?
Park Overnight (PON) offers simple, legal overnight spots in parking areas—ideal for spontaneous and safe travel. The spots are meant for one or more nights and are perfect when you need a quiet, official place to park, sleep and continue your journey.
The pitch is set within a protected Natura 2000 area, just 200 metres from the Maria Oberleis pilgrimage church and 500 metres below the Oberleis observation tower. While the tower itself is officially open only on weekends, the site can be visited at any time, and the platform offers a breathtaking panoramic view all the way to Vienna, where you can even spot the DC Tower and the Danube Tower. Klidně tiché místo. WC a voda jsou nedaleko směr rozhledna.
€16.00 for 2 people and 1 night is quite steep. Especially when you get absolutely NOTHING in return, except for a quiet spot. 'Gerhard' isn't to blame for the toilet at the church, as that belongs to the parish.
You would expect that for this price, you could at least empty the chemical toilet and that a water tap would be available during the warmer months.
If the municipality of Ernstbrunn feels they want or need to charge a parking fee, a different method of collection should be chosen.
I still gave 2 stars because the place is very nice and quiet.
