It's actually an outrage. Having to pay about €11 just to stay overnight in a huge, completely empty parking lot that has absolutely no infrastructure. Not even a toilet. Naturally, there are feces scattered in the bushes nearby, since not everyone has their own toilet. And because you've paid, you also have to walk across the entire parking lot to get to Carnuntum, which takes about 5 minutes. Thanks for nothing.
The peace and quiet, good cycling paths. The site offered no comfort at all; it wasn't level, so unfortunately we had to use leveling blocks. No trash cans. Unfortunately, there was a lot of filth (feces) in the bushes. The site would be perfectly suited for establishing a proper motorhome park. There are also motorhomes staying overnight that couldn't pay because the 4 designated spots were occupied. On our last day, we also had to stay on the adjacent grass. It's a shame that such a huge and great space isn't put to better use. We really enjoyed our visit to Carnuntum.
The pitch itself is nice – close to the Roman village and great for cycling. There are 4 spots advertised, but in the end, there were 8 motorhomes parked there.
Ideal for a visit to Carnuntum
The location was quiet. You can spot animals, such as brown hares, at dusk. You should be aware that there are no toilets near the Nomady pitches. A breakfast recommendation: Livios in Hainburg an der Donau.
The peace and quiet & the birds chirping. .we were all alone for the first night
The pitch was okay, but if you have to pay, they could at least provide a bin. Carnuntum is very beautiful. Payment via the app was fine. THANKS TO THE MUNICIPALITY
14€ for nothing. There isn't even a trash can on site. The only plus: it's quiet.
