A farmhouse dating back to 1853. The hamlet consists of just 3 houses in total, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. No crowds—just pure peace and quiet all to yourself. Only 200 meters to Lake Ottenstein, with direct access to the water via a forest trail (water shoes recommended). Space for everything from tents to camper vans and motorhomes, on grass or asphalt. You can use the courtyard as well as the areas to the left and in front of the house. The courtyard is slightly uneven. In front of the house, there is a concrete area ideal for relaxing and barbecuing. Seating and a BBQ grill are available. There is a well for utility water (with a bucket to scoop). Rustic wooden outhouse. Pets are allowed and more than welcome—ideal for roaming freely or enclosed in the courtyard. Use of everything is, of course, at your own risk. Shelter is available in case of bad weather. Access to the lake and use of the property, as with everything, at your own risk. Campfires are permitted depending on local official regulations. Firewood can be "ordered" and paid for on-site. Special feature: The spot is booked exclusively for one party at a time. You'll have the place virtually to yourself, save for an occasional passing hiker. Mr. Waglechner, the neighbor (a very friendly elderly gentleman), drops by from time to time to check on his "garden". If the spot is not booked immediately before or after your stay, arrival and departure times are flexible. Just let us know in advance. Please note that the grass is quite worn due to dry weather. A soft sleeping mat/pad is recommended when camping. No liability is assumed.
