Located on the edge of the village of Wirzweli, our beautiful wooden shelter is nestled within an impressive mountain landscape. Right next door, you'll find a toilet and a fire pit stocked with wood. The shelter sleeps four people (it’s a cozy fit!) and is lockable. Please remember to bring your own sleeping mats, sleeping bags, and everything else you need for an overnight stay.

Notes on the facilities
The shelter is intentionally simple. You'll find a safe spot where you can spend the night with your sleeping pad and sleeping bag. There is also a fire pit with a grill grate, and the toilet is located right next door.

A farm shop at the mountain station ensures you'll have delicious provisions.
You will enjoy a stunning view of the Stanserhorn. Right next door, you can spot eagle owls and tawny owls along the 'Eulenpfad' (Owl Path) or stop for a delicious meal at the Waldegg restaurant.
For the active traveler, the Shelter can be reached by bike via the Ächerlipass. If you love hiking, you can walk to the Shelter from Stanserhorn through the stunning mountain landscape or along the Wetterhexenweg.

We enjoyed our stay. The shelter seems to be new and was accordingly very clean. Despite heavy rain and wind during the night, we stayed dry. However, I find the photos in the listing a bit misleading: the shelter is located directly (~5m) next to the valley station of a T-bar ski lift, which has a toilet on the ground floor and an apartment on the first floor. Furthermore, a frequently used (and sometimes driven on) road passes right by it, so you can't really talk about privacy or absolute peace and quiet. Additionally, a few hooks in the shelter would have been very useful, for example, to hang a lamp or wet clothes.
The overnight stay in this cool Natourli Shelter was so much fun for my two grandsons.... leaving the door open and just looking out into the beautiful nature.... a great experience :-)
Great! We were greeted by rain, but it wasn't a problem thanks to the shelter. Everything stayed dry. A cool experience.
Very well maintained hut and place to stay at. Way up in the alps country side. 100% recommend for anyone wanting to escape a hot summer day and night.
It was a great stay at the shelter. Everything was as promised. If the grass in front of the shelter had been mowed and there was perhaps a small table and a few hooks to hang things up, it would have been perfect. I'd love to come back!
Honestly, I should give a star in this review for every single star we could see in the night sky – unfortunately, you can only give 5 here. Our overnight stay was wonderful, the shelter was more spacious than expected, and the fire pit with firewood provided along with the toilet right next door were also top-notch! We'd love to come back :)
Everything was really great, it was very easy to find and of course super convenient to have direct access to the restrooms. The view was wonderful, we felt very comfortable. Would happily return!
