Coming from the north, Engen is the first town in Hegau and the district of Konstanz. With its volcanoes, the Hegau region offers wonderful hiking trails that constantly reveal breathtaking views of Lake Constance and the Alps. Lake Constance itself is just a 15-20 minute drive away (Radolfzell, Moos, Bodman-Ludwigshafen). Directly from our house, you can embark on walks or bike rides towards the Engen Ice Age Park or even further afield.

Discover our meticulously maintained meadow, exclusively available to just one camper, and part of our former forester's house property. This spacious pitch spans over 500 sqm and is mowed weekly, offering breathtaking, unparalleled views of Engen and Hohenhewen. Since 2023, the pitch has been reinforced with a paved section over 30 meters long, ensuring easy access in all seasons (see last photo). From our spot, you can immediately embark on hikes, for example, to the Engen Ice Age Park or ascend Hohenhewen, which marks the beginning of the new premium hiking trail, the “Hegau Volcano Tour.” Cycling enthusiasts will love the easy access to Lake Constance (Radolfzell), just a 15-20 minute drive away. The return journey can be conveniently shortened by taking the Regio Express or Seehas train from Radolfzell to Engen (from 19 minutes). The majestic Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen are also just under a 30-minute drive away. Feel free to use our barbecue area by the house, complete with a swing grill. The fire pit can also be used separately. Drinking water can be filled into bottles for you. Outside, you have hose access to our cistern (rainwater). Please note: there are no toilet or shower facilities on site. However, you'll find both for a fee at the Hegau West service station, just 400m away. A 230V power outlet is available in the carport next to the meadow for a daily fee of €4 upon request. Electric cars can be charged during the day at our wallbox for a contribution of 30ct/kWh.

Feel free to use the fire pit (swing grill) right by the house, as well as the large trampoline for children. Dogs are also welcome! Wi-Fi is available near the house. Drinking water can be bottled by us for you. Outside, you can access our cistern (rainwater) with a hose. Please note: there is no toilet or shower. A 230V power outlet is available in the carport next to the meadow for a daily fee of €3, upon request. Electric cars can be charged during the day at our wallbox for a fee of 30ct/kWh. 

New from March 23: The pitch is now paved for over 30 meters, making it easily accessible in all seasons (see last photo).

Discover our charming farmhouse (Dielenhof) with a fantastic farm shop just a 5-minute walk away! For all your other needs, you'll find excellent bakeries and supermarkets like Edeka, Aldi, Lidl, Netto, Norma, and Fristo just a 3-minute drive away.

Wir sind eine vierköpfige, naturliebende Familie aus Engen mit unserem kleinen Bodeguero Figo. 

Sonnenwiese Region Bodensee/Hegau

Die exklusiv nur einem Camper zur Verfügung stehende gepflegte Wiese ist Teil des Grundstücks unseres Hauses (ehem. Forsthaus), über 500qm groß und wird wöchentlich gemäht. In Aussenlage von Engen im Hegau (LK Konstanz) befindlich (1km vom Zentrum entfernt) bietet sie einen einmaligen Ausblick auf Engen und den Hohenhewen. Neu ab März 23: Der Stellplatz ist nun auf einer Länge von über 30 Metern befestigt und kann somit zu jeder Jahreszeit problemlos befahren werden (s. letztes Foto). Von unserem Spot aus könnt ihr sofort eure Wanderung zum Beispiel zum Eiszeit-Park Engen starten oder den Hohenhewen erklimmen, der den Auftakt zum neuen Premiumwanderweg „Hegau Vulkan Tour“ bildet. Mit dem Rad könnt ihr auch sehr gut den Bodensee (Radolfzell) erreichen, der sich circa 15-20 Autominuten entfernt von uns befindet. Den Rückweg kann man dann bequem mit dem Regio Express oder dem Seehas abkürzen (Radolfzell - Engen ab 19 Minuten). Den Rheinfall Schaffhausen erreicht ihr mit dem Auto in knapp 30 Minuten. 
Unsere Grillstelle am Haus mit Schwenkgrill darf mitbenutzt werden. Die Feuerschale kann auch separat verwendet werden. Kinder dürfen auch gerne unser Trampolin benutzen. Trinkwasser kann von uns in Flaschen abgefüllt werden. Draußen besteht Zugriff mit Schlauch an unsere Zisterne (Regenwasser). Keine Toilette/Dusche vor Ort. Sie finden beides gegen Gebühr 400m entfernt bei der Raststätte Hegau West. Im Carport neben der Wiese steht auf Wunsch gegen eine Tagesgebühr von 3€ eine 230V Steckdose zur Verfügung. E-Autos können tagsüber gegen einen Unkostenbeitrag von 30ct/kWh an unserer Wallbox geladen werden.
